Russell Brand
UK actor and comedian Russell Brand has had the most high-profile controversy of the Forgetting Sarah Marshall cast this year.
Brand portrays randy rocker Aldous Snow in the comedy flick, a role he reprised in the 2010 spin-off Get Him to the Greek.
Last weekend, The Times, the Sunday Times and Channel 4’s Dispatches published allegations of sexual assault and rape, which he strongly denies.
He preemptively denied the accusations of “serious criminal allegations” in a YouTube video, and said his relationships have “always been consensual”.

Jonah Hill
American Comedy actor Jonah Hill has a smaller role in the film as Matthew Van Der Wyk, a fan of Snow who works at the Hawaii resort where the film is set.
He teamed up with Brand again in Get Him to the Greek, although he portrays a different character opposite the returning rockstar.
In July 2023, Hill’s ex-girlfriend accused the actor of being emotionally manipulative and a “misogynist narcissist”.
She publicly shared a text exchange she alleged was between herself and the actor, in which Hill threatened to break off their relationship if she surfed with other men, posted pictures of herself in a swimsuit, and hung out with friends he didn’t approve of.
So far, Hill has remained silent on these accusations and not replied when asked for comment.
He was also the subject of allegations from former child actress Alexa Nikolas, who accused him of inappropriate behaviour.
A litigation lawyer working for Hill said this was “a complete fabrication”, claiming that Nikolas is “demonstrably unreliable” and a “serial accuser”.

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis
Mila Kunis portrays Rachel Jansen in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, the love interest of Jason Segel’s Peter Bretter, and has been married to Ashton Kutcher since 2015.
That 70s Show’s power couple found themselves in hot water earlier in September over their response to Danny Masterson’s sexual assault trial.
Their former co-star on the classic Fox sitcom was sentenced to 30 years to life after being convicted of two of three counts of forcible rape.
Kutcher and Kunis provided a supportive character witness for Masterson, stating he treated people with “decency, equality, and generosity”.
They were heavily criticised once the letter was made public, with online users pointing out their involvement in Thorn, a charity devoted to exposing the sexual exploitation of children.
The married stars later apologised in a video and claimed they didn’t know the letter would be made public, although this didn’t help soften the backlash as many found their statement insincere.
Kristen Bell
The Good Place star Kristen Bell remains adored by her fans worldwide.
However, she and her husband Dax Shepherd still made the headlines this year when their family was kicked out of Boston Airport after they tried to sleep on the floor.
Having been stranded for nine hours, they spent $600 on blankets and pillows as there were no hotels available for 50 hours.
Even so, airport staff kicked them out and they were forced to find somewhere else to spend the night.
