Coleen Nolan addresses possibility of Dancing On Ice hosting job
Coleen Nolan has admitted she would consider replacing Phillip Schofield on Dancing On Ice – but insisted that ITV might not want her.
Earlier this year, it was announced that Phillip, 61, had quit all roles with ITV after confessing to an “unwise but not illegal” affair with a male colleague who was much younger than him.
In 2011, Coleen presented one episode of Dancing On Ice alongside Phillip when his former co-host Holly Willoughby was unwell.
Speaking to The Mirror, a month before Holly’s sensational exit from This Morning, the Loose Women star said: “I did present it [Dancing On Ice] once when Holly was sick, and I had a great time doing it. I don’t think, annoyingly, they see me for primetime I don’t think.
“I don’t think I’m, the right shape, size or age for them for primetime which is fine, I’ve kind of got my head around it now. But do I think I could do it? Yeah, I think I could have a right laugh doing it.

“I couldn’t be, ‘Oh my God you’re amazing’, I’d probably be like, ‘God that was really bad’.
“Maybe that’s why they don’t want me? They’d be like, ‘No, she’s too honest’, but of course, I would but I wouldn’t worry about it because I’ve not been asked, it’s fine.”
Dancing On Ice’s new series returns in January, with Holly, 42, reportedly in “no rush” to return to work after ending her 14 year run on This Morning.
In a statement shared to Instagram, the star said she was stepping back “for my family” leaving her future TV career and association with ITV in question.

But a source has now claimed to The Sun that the broadcaster has put “zero pressure” on Holly to return to host the show, and are supporting her leave “as long as she needs”.
“Everyone around her – family, friends, and her team – all agreed that a really decent break from work would do her the power of good,” they said.
“ITV has assured her that there is zero pressure to be ready for Dancing on Ice even though she remains a much-loved part of the family.”
No official start date for Dancing On Ice has been given just yet, but bosses have confirmed the series will air in January 2024.
