This Morning star Matty Lock’s tragic cause of death revealed at just 19 years old

This Morning star Matty Lock sadly died in September and the cause of his tragic death has now been revealed.

Matty reportedly hanged himself in his summer house after taking alcohol and ketamine, the Express has reported.

It was revealed, after a hearing into his death in Sefton, that in the year prior to his death “there had been concern about his drinking and use of ketamine, for which he did not want any help”.

Following his death, the toxicology results showed he had taken both prior to his tragic death and Police were “satisfied” there was no third party involvement. The Express reported that Sefton Senior Coroner Julie Goulding concluded a verdict of suicide.

Holly Willoughby and Dermot O’Leary paid tribute to him on ITV's This Morning after his death was announced last month.

Dermot said: "We've got some heartbreaking and horrible news to share with you this morning. One of the This Morning family members, Matty Lock, passed away this weekend.”

Holly continued by recalling the “joy” he brought to everyone who worked on This Morning as she said: "He was a much loved member of This Morning family and never failed to bring joy to our studio, with an infectious passion for technology and gadgets, which was truly unique."
