Emmerdale’s Paddy stands up against Aaron as he continues to bully Chas

Emmerdale: Victoria tells Jacob it has to be ‘over’

Emmerdale’s Paddy Dingle (played by Dominic Brunt) may not be with his wife Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) but he will always stick up for her when needed. Since returning to the village Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) has taken it upon himself to terrorise his mother in any way he can.

Aaron has been in Chas’ face and doesn’t see a way back to fix their relationship, but he doesn’t want to turn his back on his sister Eve Dingle (Bella James). However, Chas has made it her mission to keep them apart, but Aaron won’t take no for an answer.

Official spoilers have revealed that Aaron is set to lose yet another ally in the family when Paddy finally has enough of his games.

In upcoming scenes, Aaron feels like Paddy has capitulated to Chas when he agrees to share Eve’s Christmas with her.

When Paddy defends Chas and reminds her that he and Eve will always love her, whatever Aaron thinks, Chas is grateful for the support.

Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) is taken aback by Aaron’s attitude towards his mother.

The block between Aaron and Chas is growing wider, is there a way back for the mother and son?

Chas is heading for fresh drama in the new year, with producer Laura Shaw teasing that something big is set to go off in 2024, with a catalyst coming to reunite the mother and son.

She told Metro.co.uk: “We know that her [Chas] and Aaron have got quite a strained relationship at the moment and Aaron’s really pushing his mum away.

“So this could be the story that maybe brings those two back together and bonds mother and son again.”

Charles and Chas are also set to get close once again after he encourages her to open up about how she’s feeling.

The conversation takes a turn and she confesses her feelings of loneliness and her hurt at her son in a vulnerable moment.

After Charles tells off Aaron for the way he speaks to Chas, Charles is left feeling red-faced by his actions while Aaron is revelling in the hilarity of it all.

Charles crawls to Chas to apologise and beg for forgiveness. But Chas doesn’t need his apology as through her loneliness, she is glad to be getting closer to Charles.

Emmerdale airs weeknights from 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
