EastEnders’ Karen return ‘sealed’ as Sharon ‘takes revenge’ on wedding day

EastEnders fans watched Karen Taylor bid farewell to Albert Square on Friday (December 8).

Earlier this week, Phil (Steve McFadden) discovered Karen (Lorraine Stanley) was behind Albie's kidnap after realising she was in possession of his marked bills. At the time of Phil's discovery, Sharon (Letitia Dean) excitedly announced that she and Keanu (Danny Walters) will hold their wedding reception at The Vic on Christmas Day.

But Phil stormed into The Vic and revealed that Karen and Keanu were the one's who kidnapped Albie. In a shocking move to protect himself, Keanu blamed Karen and pretended he had nothing to do with it.

Wanting to protect her son, Karen insisted she acted alone. During the latest instalment of the BBC soap, Karen told Keanu she had no choice but to leave the square.

Keanu explained he would try and prevent Sharon and Phil from calling the police, but could only do so if Karen returned Phil's stolen money. Before agreeing to text Keanu after she got the money, Karen told him she understood why he acted the way he did.

As Keanu waited for a text from Karen, Sharon admitted that she couldn't let it go, and even if she could, Phil wouldn't. Mitch (Roger Griffiths) and Karen then confessed their love for each other before leaving the square with the kids, except Bernie (Clair Norris) who decided to stay in Walford.

The family prepared for a new life in Spain, as Phil raged when he realised they'd left with his money. But despite the hasty exit, this might not be the last time fans see the Taylor-Bakers.

The system said: "Sharon is not likely to let Karen get away with her involvement in Albie's kidnapping and is sure to take her revenge in a dramatic way. Karen could could be killed by Sharon in a mystery twist on Christmas Day."

The program added: "The wedding of Keanu and Sharon is already going to be a chaotic affair, and Karen's death is sure to add to the drama. It will be interesting to see how the other characters react to her death, and how it will affect the rest of the story."
