Craig Doyle walks off This Morning set after receiving ‘worst’ Christmas news
Craig Doyle walked off the set of This Morning after being given some terrible news from a guest live on-air.
Irish hunk Craig, 50, was presenting the ITV morning show together with Josie Gibson, who was fresh off her I'm A Celebrity stint. Hosting the show together on Thursday (December 21), the pair crossed over to Alice Beer who was at a shopping centre in Swindon in Wiltshire.
Beer was at the centre to talk about the last-minute rush to buy a Christmas present ahead of the big day. Whilst there, she gave important information to viewers about which shops would be open earlier and later for people to get their final supplies.

After revealing her supermarket information, attention then turned to transport, as many people embark on huge journeys home ahead of this weekend. Beer was quick to lament the huge travel plans that are usually disrupted as everyone plans to make it home in time for the holiday.
Doyle himself was also not particularly happy about the amount of people making the journey home as he joked about with his co-hosts. Craig quipped: "Yeah, if everyone can just clear the M4 at 12:30 today for about 35 minutes, I'd be really really happy."
But as Josie and Craig sniggered at his remark, Alice was quick to point out that was not a good time to travel. "Can I tell you, 12:30 is the worst time to travel," she announced.
Clearly stunned at what he had heard, Craig's face shifted to confusion as he exclaimed: "Oh?!" Alice proceeded to explain that in the run-up to Christmas, the vast majority of people tend to travel between the hours of noon and 2pm, exactly when Craig was planning his trip.
Things were not made easier for him when Alice also pointed out that the M4 had been closed at Junction 12 on Wednesday (December 20). Unable to bear what he heard, and admitting he had to be in a rush, Craig got up from his seat and promptly ran off the set of the show as he shouted "see ya!", leaving Josie to present the show on her own.
Moments later, as Alice finished her segment, the camera cut back to Josie who was still on her own, as she quibbled: "My co-host has tried to get home. Come back here, you!" However, Craig was quick to make a re-appearance, instead running back on the set, though admitting through gritted teeth he would have a struggle getting home.
The incident followed fans' confusion of the need for the segment from the consumer expert. During her item, Alice said that shopping centres across the country would be flooded with people getting last-minute gifts.
But fans watching the show were quick to point out that the Swindon shopping centre Alice was broadcasting from was far less than full. Many disgruntled viewers were quick to take to social media to vent their frustrations.
One viewer watching the show wrote: "Does anyone live in Swindon? The shops are empty!" Whilst a second fan of the programme added: "Shopping precinct is empty – looks like Swindon can't be arsed with Christmas."
This Morning airs every weekday at 10am on ITV1 and ITVX.
