BBC Breakfast star Carol Kirkwood was left red-faced after Sally Nugent quizzed the “horrors” shr faced on strictly -come-dancing> Strictly Come Dancing
During Tuesday’s (October 24) visit to the BBC studios, the 52-year-old broadcaster woke up the nation beside her guest co-host Ben Thompson. The brunette beauty usually hosts the morning news programme from Monday to Wednesday with her co-host Jon Kay.
But for the second instalment of the week, the newsreader was replaced by Sunday host Ben as fans continue to ponder over Jon’s absence on the signature red sofa. It meant that Sally wasn’t left to host Breakfast alone when he turned up to work at the studio, which is in Salford’s MediaCity.

It didn’t take long before the TV presenter was back up to her old tricks again as they welcomed meteorologist Carol Kirkwood onto the show to deliver the latest weather report.
After learning that Amanda Abbington had pulled out of the competition, Sally couldn't help but ask the weather reporter about her time on the beloved BBC One dance competition. Ben chuckled: "Shall we waltz over to the weather with Carol?" as Sally insisted: "Carol can Waltz, and Tango and what else can you do? All of them."
It was at this point that Carol cringed: "Oh my goodness, you're reminding me of the horrors of my scores! It was two or four on a good day! It wasn't good," she confessed. Loyal Strictly fans will remember Carol was partnered with her former pro dancer Pasha Kovalev.
The weather woman made it all the way to week seven before she eliminated from the dreaded dance-off when she performed against EastEnders star Kellie Bright. During her time on the BBC One ballroom competition, the blonde beauty performed a range of ballroom classics including the Cha Cha Cha, the Foxtrot and the Rumba.
It comes after the BBC confirmed that Sherlock star Amanda Abbington has pulled out of the show due to medical issues. Fleur East confirmed the news on the spin off show It Takes Two.
She told viewers: "Amanda Abbington is unable to continue Strictly Come Dancing and has decided to withdraw from the competition. The show wishes her all the best for the future." Our source exclusively told Daily Star: "The schedule is very gruelling and after a series of setbacks on the show, she has simply decided, with regret, that it's the right thing to do."
Rumours of a rift between her dance partner, Giovanni Pernice have also been making headlines, with the pair strongly denying a fallout during It Takes Two last week. Host Janette Manrara probed: "It honestly looks like you two are having the best time in rehearsals, getting along like a house on fire in rehearsals right?"

Shutting down any rift rumours, Amanda agreed and said: "Yeah we are, we are! We do and we laugh a lot, we have the same sense of humour which is really important. So we'll come out, work hard, and then we just laugh don't we."
