Christine McGuinness shuts down romance rumours and admits love life is ‘dead’
Christine McGuinness confessed her love life is “absolutely dead” as she shuts down romance rumours after she was spotted talking to a mystery man in a bar earlier this month.
Over the past few weeks, the former model has been hitting headlines after she turned heads at the Pride of Britain Awards. But her glamorous ensemble isn’t the only thing people are talking about, with many fans convinced she is getting back into the dating pool.
According to The Sun, the TV star was most recently seen hitting it off with former Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard on a star-studded night out. A source told the publication: “Christine and Jesse were chatting for ages. It is clear Jesse took a shine to Christine, and they looked pretty close.”

Now, the mum-of-three has shut down dating rumours as she addressed the news on her Instagram Stories on Monday (October 23). She told viewers: “Hello everyone, now I'm going to keep this short and sweet because I'm embarrassed that I have to even comment on it, but I feel like I have to.
“So I've woken up to a load of stories in the press today saying that I was seen cosying up to some fella in a bar two weeks ago. Right, I wasn’t. There was nowhere in that bar to cosy up to him anyway and even if there was I simply wouldn’t.
“This man approached me inventing me to his restaurant, so I thought he was a restaurant owner, I had no idea who he was. No offence, I'm sure he was a lovely fella, but I politely declined.”
The star went on to add that she “wasn’t in the right place” to be dating at the moment just one year after she announced her separation from her ex-husband Paddy McGuinness. She went on: “I'm not in the right place mentally, physically, emotionally to be dating, to be entertaining anyone, to be cosying up.
“Like there is nobody at all on my radar, I'm not texting anyone, I'm not calling anyone, I'm not interested. I'm focusing on my children, I'm focusing on my work and I'm focusing on me.” Christine went on to add that her love life is “non-existent" at the moment but she’s happy being single.
The doting mum went on: “But literally right now, between me and you, and don’t tell anyone, but my love life is absolutely dead, like it’s non-existent its embarrassingly awful.
“But that’s why I'm happy because I'm just doing my own thing and there’s no man in my life and it's a gorgeous place to be and that’s where I'm staying.” She reassured her loyal legion of fans that as soon as she gets back into the dating scene she will be sharing it all online.
The model went on: “As soon as I'm dating I'll be telling you all about it, I'll be like, ‘What should I wear tonight? I’m going out on a date’. But yeah it’s not happening, it’s not right now.” The news of her silent love life comes after Christine and Paddy announced they were calling it quits on their 11-year marriage in July 2022.
Despite separating, the exes have remained living in the same house with Christine telling The Mirror that she is really looking forward to a “fresh” start in 2024.
