Tom and Giovanna Fletcher branded ‘couple goals’ as they celebrate 20 years together
Tom and Giovanna Fletcher celebrated being together for 20 years this weekend and shared a collection of sweet photographs from over the last two decades.
The couple share three children; Buzz, eight, Buddy, seven, and Max, four, and first met 25 years ago at school, before Tom rose to fame in boyband McFly alongside pals Harry Judd, Dougie Poynter and Danny Jones.
As they took to social media to share a collection of snaps, fans hailed Tom and Giovanna, who tied the knot in 2012, as "goals", with one commenting: "Couple goals right there. You two are ruddy perfect".
Posting to her 2M followers, Giovanna penned a sweet ode to her husband, writing: "20years of us, and 25years of friendship… that’s a lot of years. That’s a lot of commitment, laughter and understanding. That’s a lot of leaning on or being the one giving the support.
"I don’t know who we are without each other, I only see who we are thanks to the love, encouragement and support from the other. It’s not always easy, but we somehow make it through together. love you @tomfletcher! Xxx"
She added: "Final picture is of us back in the spot where we first met at school all those years ago, taken just before the school moved premises."
Former I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! winner Giovanna and busy McFly musician Tom are jam-packed with their respective schedules, but ensure to make time for the family too.
Recently completing a 100km trek in the Sahara Desert in aid of breast cancer awareness, Giovanna explained that while she loves doing these activities, it's tough leaving her brood.
When asked if it was difficult being away from her children, Giovanna – who was a team captain on the trek – told OK!: “It’s never easy being away because your heart is at home.”
She added, “The thing I normally do while I’m away is to try to capture things like moments or scenes I think the kids will enjoy watching, but we didn’t have any signal.
“But they loved seeing pictures of all the camels and sand when I got back. I always say to myself and to the trekkers: it’s one week and you’ve got to throw your whole self into it.”
Meanwhile, Tom is gearing up for the kids to follow in his footsteps, sharing how he wants to make an 'S Club Juniors' type band with the younger generations of McFly.
As the band spoke to OK!, bandmate Harry said: "Dougie is really close with all of our kids too, so it's nice," shared Harry during our chat. "I can’t wait for the day that Buzz, Kit and Buddy join us on stage and play a song. Danny’s son Cooper is unsurprisingly showing vocal ability already, so, that’s a pretty good line-up."
