The One Show’s Alex Jones in ‘terrible’ pain as host asks for help with injury
Alex Jones thinks she may have whiplash after bumper car session
The One Show presenter Alex Jones said she has been suffering from headaches for over a week, following a trip to the funfair with her sons.
Alex, 46, took to her Instagram Story to ask fans for advice on what she believes could be whiplash.
In view of her 351,000 followers, she explained: “I think I have given myself whiplash on the bumper cars.
“So, I took the boys to the funfair about a week and a half ago and since then I’ve been having these really terrible headaches.”
The presenter went on to say her co-star Jermaine Jenas “was really laughing when I said this last night, but it is very painful”.

Alex then asked fans if any of them had experienced whiplash and whether it had caused headaches in the base of the skull.
“Should I be going to the doctors? I don’t know, but somebody on here will know. Tell me what you know,” she concluded.
As stated by the NHS, whiplash is a neck injury caused by sudden movement of the head, which usually gets better within two to three months.
Common symptoms can include; neck pain, neck stiffness and difficulty moving your head, along with headaches, pain and muscle spasms in the shoulders and arms.
The website adds it can take several hours for the symptoms to start after you injure your neck.

Alex is a proud mum to three children; Teddy, six, Kit, four, and two-year-old Annie, with husband Charlie Thomson.
The presenter keeps her kids’ faces off her social media page, but regularly gives fans updates about her life as a mum.
Most recently, she shared a picture of Annie and Kit hugging as he started his “new chapter” at school.
All ready for his big day, the toddler was seen wearing a bright blue rucksack equipped with a matching blue water bottle.
Doting over her brother, Annie was seen with her head in his arms as they embraced in a cuddle.
Alongside the picture, Alex wrote: “He was amazing. A kiss goodbye and off he went. Excited about this new chapter and who can ask for more.
“Me, I didn’t handle it with quite as much poise. So proud of this tenacious little boy but I’ll miss our mornings.”
Last year, the presenter said she felt lucky to become a mum again in her 40s as she feared she had left it “too late”.
She said: “Annie was the most fantastic and welcoming surprise because so many friends and colleagues have been through the mill.
“It hasn’t been the most straightforward for us along the way, but we got there in the end,” Alex added to The Mirror.
“In the back of my mind, and this is a bit of a secret, I always wanted three kids but I thought, ‘Oh Alex, don’t be silly – you have left it too late’.”
