Strictly fans say ‘I’m buying a hat’ as Vito Coppola posts gushing update with Ellie: ‘Tell me you’re a couple’

Strictly Come Dancing fans have announced they're "buying a hat" after Vito Coppola shared a heartfelt update with Ellie Leach with many labelling them as a "couple".

The professional dancer, 31, and Coronation Street star, 22, have become fan favourites on this year's BBC Strictly, with their undeniable chemistry both on and off the dance floor. So much so that they've been the subject of romance rumours in recent weeks – something neither of them has confirmed nor denied.

Rumours have been sparked even further as Vito shared a gushing post on Friday, where he was cosied up with Ellie in a string of photos. He added the sweet caption: "'Live the present and be grateful for what you have in life. Be happy for waking up every morning and appreciate the small things. This makes the real Happiness'.

"These are the words that Lulú and I keep repeating to each other." He added #positivevibes # happiness at the end.

The photos accompanying the post were small printed-out snaps stuck onto a wall which were from their exclusive photoshoot and interview with OK! Magazine & Notebook Magazine. The dancing duo could be seen holding each other close, laughing together, striking a pose and some rather intimate shots too.

One of which saw Vito with his hand on Ellie's neck as he stood up close with his eyes shut. Another saw Vito hugging the soap star from behind as they both beamed at the camera.

Ellie commented on the post and wrote: "Always live in the present and appreciate the little things [love heart emoji] so lucky and grateful for this experience with you xxx."

The post certainly caught the attention of Strictly viewers with some predicting their loved-up future together and constantly referring to them as a "couple".

One fan wrote: "Tell me your a couple without telling me your a couple!!"

A second said: "Lots of super couple photos here – you make a really lovely couple and it shows chemistry and genuine love in your dancing looking forward to Saturday x."

"Beautiful couple hope you both win Strictly", a third gushed.

While a fourth added: "There you are!! My favourite couple looking Fabulous in these photos. Can't wait to see your Argentine Tango tomorrow night, I know you guys are gonna smash it!!!"

One simply wrote: "Please get married and have babies."

Someone else appeared to be on the same wavelength adding: "I’m buying a hat" in reference to a wedding.

"I love you guys! You two are a match made in heaven – the laughs and chemistry just show every week looks effortless and not forced and that really matters routing for you both," another penned.

"You two and the happiness you bring to our screens, my absolute faves!!!!" one other commented.

And the comments kept on coming as one viewer said: "I get that this is just a photoshoot and that you are just dance partners and friends BUT half the country are now hoping that you might be more than 'just friends', Just saying!"
