Manzoor Hussain Soomro: Fostering Inquiry-based science education and Cultural Integration
“I think youth programs and the approach to science education, which is called inquiry-based science education, emphasize learning by doing.” Vice President of the Belt and Road International Science Education Consortium (BRISEC), Manzoor Hussain Soomro, spoke highly of the Maker Camp’s philosophy. “I think for sustainability, we depend on our future generations, which is our children and our young people.” he added. Deeply impressed by Chinese students’ communication and innovation skills, Soomro advocated expanding such camps globally. “And I would like to recommend and propose that in the future, we go beyond that, and organize teenager maker camps in other countries, also by engaging some of the local scientists, as well as Chinese scientists and technologists.” he emphasized.
