Ariana Grande’s ex husband Dalton Gomez ‘adjusting to new normal’ after split

Ariana Grande’s former husband Dalton Gomez reportedly expected to be “together forever” with the singer-songwriter and is “adjusting to his new normal”.

The pair, who split earlier this year, were first linked together in 2020 before tying the knot a year later.

However, Ariana, 30, and Dalton, 28, called time on their marriage in January and thus decided to separate after two years together.

According to a source close to the realtor, he is beginning to adjust to life without the 7 Rings singer by his side.

As reported by US Weekly, a source confirmed: “It’s been a little while since Ariana and Dalton split, but he’s adjusting to his new normal and learning to accept it for what it is.

“It’s certainly not how he expected things to play out because he obviously assumed they would be together forever.”

It’s also stated that prior to meeting Ariana, Dalton lived a “private life” and is said to be “grateful for his friends and family” who have lent him support in this difficult time.

The source also stated that: “He never imagined he would be going through a divorce in the public eye.”

In regards to the situation, they simply claimed that the 28-year-old was, “hanging in there”.

Regarding their romance, rumours began circulating back in 2020, when the pair were seen kissing each other outside of Bar Louie in Northridge, California.

Three months later, Dalton appeared in the music video for Ariana and Justin Bieber’s track, ‘Stuck with U’.

While his face was not in the frame, he could be seen swaying alongside his then-girlfriend in a bedroom.

In the summer of 2020, the pair went Instagram official — first with Ariana posting a selfie of herself and her then-boyfriend in June, and then wishing him a happy birthday in August.

On December 20, the Positions singer announced that she was engaged to be married before confirming that they had officially tied the knot in May 2021.

At the time, one of Ariana’s representatives told People Magazine that “The room was so happy and full of love” and that “the couple and both families couldn’t be happier.”

However, in July 2023 it was reported by TMZ that Grande had split from the 28-year-old in January of that year and were planning to legally end their marriage.

Following the reported split, it has been rumoured that Ariana has since moved on and has been linked with her Wicked costar, Ethan Slater.
