On Tuesday’s BBC Breakfast, Dan Walker and Louise Minchin welcomed vaccines minister Nadhim Zahawi on to the show to discuss the rollout of the vaccine as well as the NHS backlog. Minchin also grilled the MP over whether there will be another national lockdown in October. However, the interview quickly took a turn when Zahawi seemed to squirm in his seat over the questions being fired at him. Viewers also got frustrated when the minister failed to answer the host’s questions.

Taking to Twitter, one viewer raged: “ANSWER THE QUESTION!!!”

Another wrote: “@nadhimzahawi doing a sterling job of not answering the questions on BBC Breakfast.”

A third commented: “Tory MPs just dodging questions every day. It’s embarrassing. You are there to represent your constituents not your dodgy boss!”

“Is Zahawi going to spontaneously combust?” a fourth asked.
