Yellowstone’s fourth season is building towards its epic conclusion now, with episode seven the penultimate instalment. The Paramount Network series has seen some big changes with season four, especially after John Dutton (played by Kevin Costner) fired all the women in the bunkhouse in episode six. The seventh episode, titled Keep the Wolves Close, will explore the impact of that decision and Express.co.uk has all the details on the cast.

Who is in the cast of Keep the Wolves Close?

Caroline Warner – Jacki Weaver

With the season nearing its end, Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) will finally play her hand against Caroline Warner.

After hiring Beth earlier in the season, Caroline’s motives have been called into question by viewers.

However, Beth is determined to take the company down from the inside, setting up a potentially explosive episode ahead.

Played by Jacki Weaver, the star is best known for Bloom, Secret City, Silver Linings Playbook, and The Disaster Artist.

Walker – Ryan Bingham

Walker has caused a stir in on the Dutton ranch in season four, and it centres on the fallout around Lloyd Pierce (Forrie J Smith).

After returning to the ranch at the end of season two, he quickly started a relationship with Lloyd’s one-time flame Laramie (Hassie Harrison).

The two ended up brawling in the barn house over her, leading to John firing all the women over the incident.

Tensions are high on the ranch, though Walker doesn’t seem to be showing any signs of remorse.

Played by Ryan Bingham, the star is best known for Crazy Heart, Hostiles, and A Country Called Home.

Summer Higgins – Piper Perabo

Summer Higgins and her protestors have caused a major disruption to town since they first arrived at the start of the season.

Despite John’s efforts to appease the group, they look to be still marching forward in episode seven.

However, complications will undoubtedly arise with Summer and John now embroiled in an unlikely romance.

Played by Piper Perabo, the star is best known for The Big Leap, Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, and Turn Up Charlie.

What will happen in Keep the Wolves Close?

The plot details are being kept under wraps by the Paramount Network, though the broadcaster has shared a trailer for the next instalment of Yellowstone.

In the trailer, talking to John, Beth says: “The ranch won’t be here in four years, Dad.

“It just takes strategy, sacrifice, risk. This is just the beginning.”

Also seen in the trailer is the protestors out in full force, though how they play into the story remains to be seen.

It looks as though John’s back is up against the wall, as he is put in a position of leadership he might not be cut out for in the town.

Of course, the episode will mainly be building up to the finale, with fans expecting another nail-biting cliffhanger.

Yellowstone is in the middle of expanding in ways viewers haven’t seen before, with two spin-offs in development.

One spin-off, 6666, could be set up in the next two episodes of season four, with the fired ranch hands now looking for work, and potentially relocating to Texas for it.

Yellowstone season four continues Sunday, December 12 on the Paramount Network in the USA. A UK release date is yet to be confirmed.
