Who was Tracy’s dad in Emmerdale and what happened to him? | The Sun
EMMERDALE'S Tracy Metcalfe has lived in the Dales for nearly a decade – but who was her long lost father and what happened to him?
Tracy’s dad was Frank Clayton, played by actor Michael Praed, and he appeared in the ITV soap for three years.
The character died in August 2020 in a fire at the Sharma sweet factory, which was accidentally started by Kerry and her daughter Amy Wyatt.
The horrifying blaze began when the pair of them raided the safe at the factory – a crime that Kerry claimed would be ‘victimless.
However, the two soon realised that they were being caught on CCTV, and when they tried to destroy the footage, they left dangerous live wires exposed.
The wires sparked and started the blaze, but despite thinking nobody would be hurt, it claimed Frank’s life when he dived into the burning building to save the life of his daughter Tracy.

He added: "I would just like to thank all you guys for your support and I hope you continue to love the show as much as I do and love all the people in it."
The actor is currently starring in BBC's Celebrity MasterChef.
