ACTOR Charlie Winter previously starred in EastEnders where he played the role of Hunter Owen.

The teenager was introduced to viewers as the son of Tamzin Outhwaite's character Mel.

Hunter’s dad is Steve Owen who died in 2002 after the car he was driving crashed and exploded.

Mel fled the Square shortly after, pregnant with Steve’s baby.

Hunter grew up in Portugal along with Louise Mitchell and her mum Lisa Fowler as Mel and Lisa were close friends.

He was eventually reunited with his mother and remained in Walford after Mel was offered by Sharon Watts the chance at reopening the nightclub.

Viewers watched as Hunter and Mel became residents of Albert Square with the teenagers even attending the local school.

However, there was always drama with the Owen clan in EastEnders.

On January 3, 2019, Hunter became a killer as he shot twisted bigamist Ray Kelly for trying to murder his mother Mel.

He had kidnapped Hunter and called Mel, luring her to the woods.

After a scuffle with Ray, Mel managed to free Hunter but as they made their escape in Ray’s car, she reversed over him.

When Hunter asked if he was dead and Mel confirmed it, Hunter coldly said: ‘I’m glad.’

Mel then attempted to hide the body, only for Ray to leap up and announce he would finish off what he started earlier.

But as he strangled her a shot rang out and Ray clutched a bullet wound in his chest.

Hunter had discovered the gun Mel had earlier threatened Ray with and shot him to save his mum.

The teen was later jailed after he admitted to murdering his stepdad.

But when he was eventually released from custody, he met his fate.

He was killed by police after shooting Ben Mitchell and Keanu Taylor and trying to murder Louise.

The dramatic storyline saw Hunter's final scene take place in the middle of Albert Square as his lifeless body lay on the ground.
