Two EastEnders team members tests positive for COVID-19
Two members of the EastEnders production team have tested positive for COVID-19 – but filming will not be disrupted and will continue.
The BBC soap continues to operate all scenes in accordance with coronavirus guidelines and everyone remains two metres apart at all times.
The staff members in question tested positive last night and all cleansing has been carried out before filming carried on, Metro.co.uk understands.
A source from set has also told Metro.co.uk that the two cases are not believed to be connected to one another.

The show has rigorous testing procedures in place – similarly to Coronation Street, who a few weeks back had a member of the team test positive.
A spokesperson for the BBC told Metro.co.uk: ‘We can confirm that a member of the EastEnders team has tested positive for coronavirus and they are now self-isolating at home following the latest government guidelines.
‘We have rigorous protocols in place to manage Covid-19 as the safety of all those involved in the production is paramount.’
EastEnders will currently be moving ahead to filming winter and Christmas storylines soon, a typically big year in the calendar for the soap.
Kellie Bright recently teased turbulent times ahead for the Carters while Kate Oates, Head of BBC Continuing Drama, promised Metro.co.uk that a big Walford Christmas was definitely on the cards.
