These are the top properties people are viewing virtually in lockdown two
You’re not alone if life in lockdown has sparked a serious property porn habit.
We can’t help it. Being cooped up inside all day is bound to make us start nitpicking our residence and start dreaming of buying a new home.
No wonder we’re suddenly spending hours scrolling property sites and dreaming of the glorious house we’d buy if we had the means.
Some people, though, are going to the next level of daydream scrolling, and actually doing virtual viewings of properties they might actually buy.
Property website OnTheMarket has been offering virtual viewings throughout the pandemic, and they’ve seen a huge rise in people having a virtual nosy around homes in the second lockdown.
They’ve revealed the most viewed homes of the second lockdown, including a multi-million pound Scottish castle, a baronial lodge house, three cosy cottages and a rural fixer upper bungalow.
Shall we take a look?
1. Three-bedroom cottage, Powys, £285,000
Topping the list is Talwrn Bach Cottage, a three-bedroom Grade II listed timber framed home in the Cain Valley.
It’s thought to date back to the 15th century.
2. Three-bedroom detached house, Edinburgh, £795,000
This stone built three-bedroom detached house has a private garden and gorgeous interiors.
3. 15-bedroom castle, Dunbartonshire, £3,750,000
Auchendennan House might be a touch out of most people’s price range, but it’s pretty special to justify that £3.75million price tag.
It has two turrets, 55 acres and a Grand Hall overlooked by a gallery.
4. Three-bedroom baronial lodge house, Dumfriesshire, £180,000
A traditional baronial lodge house and annex with stunning gardens and views, set within 1.2 acres of landscaped grounds.
5. Three-bedroom cottage, Devon, £300,000
Tucked away in Devon’s rolling hills sits this lovely cottage, complete with brick fireplaces and a fantastic garden.
6. Four-bedroom detached house, Dumfriesshire, £445,000
This grand period home sits by a river and is surrounded by 2.21 acres of land.
7. Two-bedroom cottage, South Somerset, £240,000
This cute cottage is spread over three floors and has two double bedrooms, a spacious kitchen and dining area, and a sitting room with an open fireplace.
The perfect place to cosy up in the cold.
8. Three-bedroom bungalow, Devon, £325,000
Among all the fancy properties, we’re clearly pondering DIY jobs, as this home in need of a makeover lands spot eight on the list.
9. Four-bedroom detached house, South Shields, £235,000
Ideal for families, this house has four bedrooms, including one master bedroom with its own en suite bathroom.
10. Three-bedroom detached house, Swansea, £335,000
And finally, in tenth place, we have another family home, this time in Swansea.
