The Apprentice’s Frank chokes on hot sauce doughnut – but they flog them anyway
The Apprentice candidates were forced to make hundreds of doughnuts to sell to corporate clients and normal punters.
But one flavour shocked fans as they watched Frank taste the chocolate and chilli flavour, which was so spicy he was left choking and spitting out his doughnut.
As the rest of the team watched on, however, they were shocked when sub-team leader Jasmine opted to keep that doughnut in the running, despite it causing such a terrible response from their fellow candidate.
At the decision to keep the chocolate and chilli doughnut in the list, Baroness Karren Brady exclaimed: "frank tried it and he couldn’t breath!
She said: "If he couldn’t breathe, why have they chosen it? It’s a mystery."
Later on, a woman tried one of their doughnuts and spat it out in shock and anger.
Her friend asked what was in the doughnut, and excitedly replied: "You put hot sauce on a doughnut?!"
Team leader Tom said: "I’m a bit disapopointed jasmine went with the chilli choice? It was only down to our selling skills that we were able to make it work."
The group also made a salted caramel doughnut as well, using popcorn, pretzels and peanut butter.
On the other team, however, made some pretty shocking looking doughnts, with one sprinkled with Earl Grey tea and another was smeared in red sauce and had Custard Cream biscuits stuck on top.
Fans were shocked by the chocolate and chilli combo, as well as the incredibly high prices of the doughnuts – which were being sold at around £4-5 each!
