Ten X Factor Celebrity stars have all worked as professional singers

X Factor Celebrity boasts 10 stars in the line-up who have all worked as professional singers.

Many of the famous faces set to feature on tonight's show even have record contracts and tour dates booked in.

Former Towie star Megan McKenna, 27, is set to be seen competing for The X Factor title when the show launches.

However, her fans will know she quit reality TV in 2017 to focus on her new career as a country singer.

As well as having a record contract, she's released an album, Story Of Me, topped the iTunes chart and toured extensively.

Last summer she even opened for Michael Buble at British Summer Time in London's Hyde Park.

Today, Megan posted a throwback picture showing herself in Los Angeles during filming of the judges' houses stage – and many followers expressed their confusion about her role on the show.

Many commented that they don't understand why she's going on X Factor when she already has a music career.

One wrote: "Haven’t you already got a recording contract?"

Another added: "Aren’t you already a singer I’m sure you brought out your own album…

"Why you going on X factor or am I missing something?"

However, it's not just Megan who's no stranger to the music industry – many of the stars taking part in the contest have already worked as professional singers.

Max and Harvey are already pop stars. They started their career as kids lip-syncing to chart hits before releasing their first single, One More Day in Love, in 2016.

They released a Christmas single a year later, and in 2018 signed a major recording contract with Disney's RMI Records.

Their debut album was released earlier this year, and they now regularly tour the UK and Europe. Tickets for their next trek later this year are already on sale.

Olivia Olsen, best known as the singing star from Love Actually, has been working as a professional singer since she was a kid.

She's recorded 11 soundtrack albums for TV and film projects she worked on, as well as two of her own and an Ep.

Her latest record, Nowhere Land, was released last year.

US actor/singer Kevin McHale is best known for his musical role on teen show Glee, but he actually shot to fame as part of boyband NLT in 2007.

After the band, McHale landed his own record deal with Universal and writes music for other acts as well as releasing his own material.

His last single, Help me Now, was released in June.

Footballer-turned-actor Vinnie Jones may have seemed an odd choice for the show, but even he has a long-forgotten pop career.

He released a single called Wooly Bully back in 1993, appeared on Top Of The Pops and later put out an album called respect in 2002.

Samira Mighty , who's part of Live Island group The Islanders, has previously worked as a singer in the West End.

She's performed in shows such as Dreamgirls, Mamma Mia! and Beauty And The Beast.

Levi Davis, who is performing as part of ruby trio Try Star, studied music at college, has played numerous live gigs and is recording his first album.

His debut music is slated for release later in the year.

Jonny Labey is best known for his acting role in EastEnders, but he's actually a professional dancer and singer with a string of musicals, including Strictly Ballroom, under his belt.
