Strictly’s Seann apologises to angry Katya after making another mistake
Seann Walsh has been doing a lot of apologies this week – and now he’s given one to Katya Jones.
The comedian, 32, apologised for snogging his professional partner Katya Jones in the street earlier this week during their first interview since the controversial pictures surfaced on Saturday night.
The pair were ignored on It Takes Two until Wednesday’s pre-recorded interview, where Seann tried to play down his mistakes and even hinted there were cracks in the relationship with Rebecca Humphries before the snog.
On Friday’s show, Seann and Katya were seen struggling in training as they got up close and personal for Charleston rehearsals.
Seann admitted it had been a "difficult week" as he awkwardly referenced the snog scandal.
The comedian was seen apologising to his professional dance partner after making a mistake in the routine.
She shouted: "What are you doing".
Sheepish Seann replied: "I know – sorry."
Speaking about the last few days, Seann said: "We’ve had a difficult week this week so we are a bit behind.
"It’s making it harder for us to get to the finish line in time."
Katya added: "One thing I have not done is make this routine easier.
"What we have to do now is not stop dancing."
Strictly fans took to Twitter after the awkward segment.
One viewer said: "Seann had to get that in "we’ve had a difficult week"! no idea whats he’s referring to!!"
"It’s still tumbleweed levels of awkwardness when Seann and Katya feature on," added another.
A third said: "Well that was awkward when the Friday panel had to comment on Seann and Katya. @ZoeTheBall asked about their Charleston and there was around 10 second silence then a stilted comment or 2 then they quickly moved on #awks"
After the pictures went public, Rebecca dumped Seann and told in a scathing statement how he “aggressively and repeatedly” branded her “psycho and mental” when she suggested something inappropriate was going on with Katya on the show.
Viewers claimed the It Takes Two chat was the most awkward three minutes of TV ever as Seann tried to play down his mistakes and even hinted there were cracks in the relationship before the kiss with Katya.
He hit back at allegations of aggressive and abusive behaviour by his ex-girlfriend telling fans “I’m not the person I’m being portrayed as”.
