Strictly Rose has brutal response for Giovanni as he gushes over another co-star

Strictly Come Dancing star Rose Ayling Ellis left her followers floored as she had a very cheeky response to her former dance partner Giovanni Pernice on Instagram.

Giovanni shared a sweet snap with judge Anton du Beke after going to see him perform in his pantomime during the festive period after they worked together on the 2022 series of the dance competition.

As the pair posed next to each other and smiled at the camera, Giovanni captioned the picture: "Fantastic evening watching my partner in crime @mrantondubeke in Jack and the Beanstalk at @churchill_bromley."

But while some fans were loving the snap, others quickly asked if Giovanni had gone to support his friend Rose at her West End debut in the retelling of Shakespeare’s As You Like It.

He quickly proved them wrong as he shared snaps of the pair together backstage, with the pair being seen with their arms around each other as they cosied up for the camera.

Giovanni captioned the post: "Another amazing evening, watching my second partner in crime @rose.a.e at @sohoplace with As You Like It. Brilliant performances."

Rose was quick to hit back at Giovanni with a very cheeky response as she said: "Nice to know that @mrantondubeke is your number one."

She then added: "Thank you soooo much for coming!"

Fans quickly rushed to the post to thank Giovanni for sharing the photo after the backlash he faced, with one saying: "Best team. Didnt doubt for a minute that you would support your friend.

"Love the headlock btw. She doesn't give you a minutes peace."

Another added: "Very grateful to you Giovanni for sharing this(as you did not have to)but it is appreciated. Miss you both lots as the banter between you two was just great. Well done to you both."

A third said: "You didn't need to prove anything, but thank you so much for sharing these pictures of your friendship and support for each other."
