Seven Emmerdale spoilers: kidnapping horror, shock exit and abuse bombshell | The Sun

CAN Leyla Harding really turn her back on a dangerous drug dealer without suffering any of the consequences?

All hell breaks loose this week in Emmerdale as the wedding planner is tracked down and tormented by a dangerous villain.

1. Suzy left at death's door

After overcoming her cocaine addiction and putting an end to her marriage with Dr Liam Cavanagh, Leyla Harding has a new outlook on life, ready for a fresh start.

Unfortunately, the wedding planner portrayed by Roxy Shahidi got a little too bold in recent scenes of the Yorkshire-based drama as she turned drug dealer Callum (Tom Ashley) in during a night out on the town.

A witness of the scene, Suzy (Martelle Edinborough) was left dreading the worst.

In scenes due to air on ITV, Suzy is proven right to have been worried as Callum tries to get revenge on Leyla.

And sadly for her, Suzy becomes another one of his targets when she smears him as a grass to his criminal associates in an attempt to take him down.

Suzy unfortunately pays the price in later scenes, when Callum appears outside Take A Vow and attacks her with a brick.

Oblivious to her friend's peril, Leyla tries to phone Suzy, to no avail, just as the latter's lifeless body is found by Mary Goskirk (Louise Jameson).

Suzy is rushed to hospital as Leyla's guilt grows but she's angered when the police tell her Callum has an alibi for Suzy's attack and they have no evidence against him.

But things are set to get worse.

2. Kidnapping horror

Leyla receives threats from Callum and when Caleb Milligan (Will Ash) later finds her sobbing in the graveyard, he recommends that she plays to win with Callum.

This piece of advice leaves Leyla ready to take matters into her own hands and she arranges a meet with her adversary.

Dicing with danger, Leyla and Callum meet up but things escalate and he kidnaps her.

Leyla is bound and gagged as a threatening Callum looms.

When it becomes clear that she's missing as she fails to answer her phone and pick Suzy up from hospital, Leyla's loved ones are filled with dread.

What will Callum do?

3. Laurel and Jai take action

Arthur Thomas (played by Alfie Clarke) has taken a liking to Marshall (Max Fletcher), despite their rough beginnings, after coming out as gay to his nearest and dearest.

But with his councillor father looking over his shoulder and making his homophobia very clear, Marshall decided to push Arthur away, much to the youngster's heartbreak.

Sadly, Marshall was recently disowned by Colin (Mark Noble) which led to him finding refuge in Rishi Sharma's home, unbeknownst to everyone.

Coming up, the young intruder finds another safe haven in the form of Mulberry Cottage as Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) and her partner Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) decide to take him in.

Marshall is grateful in upcoming scenes but he's soon gutted to find out Hotten Academy won't be accepting him back without his father's approval.

Against all odds, Colin agrees to Marshall returning to Hotten Academy but Lauren and Jai have a hunch this could only be in the hopes that his abusive behaviour remains a secret.

Determined to protect Marshall whatever it takes, Laurel and Jai discuss the ordeal in later scenes and the businessman admits he fears the impact of them taking the teen in on their family.

Devastated, Marshall is listening in to their conversation – but will he interrupt the couple and say what's on his mind?

4. Abuse bombshell

The following day, Colin rocks up Mulberry Cottage with the intention of seeing Marshall.

Laurel and Jai still try to protect the youngster, unconvinced by Colin's apparent change of heart, and they only agree to let him see his son with the lad's explicit consent.

When Marshall accepts to talk to him, Colin opts for a caring approach and tries to convince him he's sorry for disowning him.

Colin love-bombs and manipulates Marshall, declaring his love for him and telling him to come home, which leaves the teen shaken.

Later on, Marshall feels more confused than ever when his father continues his love-bombing with messages.

What will Marshall decide to do?

Could his stay with Laurel, Jai and Arthur have an impact on the whole family?

5. Shock exit for villain

Alex Moore (played by Liam Boyle) has been known for his unlawful scheming, blackmailing and drug dealings as he tried to make Dawn Taylor's life a nightmare.

Yet in recent weeks, following Kim Tate and Will Taylor's intimidation tactics, he has been trying to stick to the straight and narrow.

This has led him to meet Naomi Walters (Karene Peter) who was freshly single after her breakup with Nate Robinson.

Bold and ready to move on, Naomi flirted with Alex before taking down his phone number without his knowledge and calling him to arrange a date.

However, Naomi's father Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) was uncertain about Alex and grew more and more convinced he was not to be trusted – particularly after listening to Dawn.

This week, Charles fails to convince Naomi to see sense over Alex and tells his own partner Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) that it's painful to watch his daughter risk her future.

Manpreet remains hopeful and responds by urging Charles to give Alex a real chance and to only judge him if he lets Naomi down.

Soon enough, Charles encourages Alex to go to a job interview and Naomi is delighted to find out he's managed to get it.

Sadly, she's crushed to find out the job will be in Wales and, as an ex-offender, Alex feels he has no choice but to take it.

Alex immediately has second thoughts about the job but Charles talks him round.

Once he leaves, Charles puts his foot in it with Naomi – how will she respond?

6. Cathy risks her life

Bob Hope has been fully invested in his business at the new and improved B&B.

But reality catches up with him when his daughter Cathy spirals out of control.

The teen portrayed by Gabrielle Dowling hasn't been herself in recent weeks, particularly before Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles) walked in on her skipping school.

Cathy admitted to Bernice that she was suffering from heavy periods which led to her getting on the pill.

However, when Bob (Tony Audenshaw) focuses all of his attention on the B&B, he fails to notice that the youngster needs help.

Brenda Walker (Lesley Dunlop) reminds him not to let business interfere with his fatherly responsibilities in scenes due to air next week.

Despite this reminder, Bob still misses out on Cathy's behaviour.

In later scenes, the kids are off to a gig but Cathy categorically refuses to be chaperoned by Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson) and puts her plan into action.

The teens and April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) are greatly concerned when Cathy's behaviour turns more reckless.

Things go from bad to worse for Cathy when she begins to put her own life in danger and Bob finally realises she needs proper help.

Will it be too late?

7. Victoria rocked by huge news

Freshly single after calling it quits with David Metcalfe, Victoria Sugden has been trying to move on but she's left reeling this week after some massive news.

The Hide Bistro chef portrayed by Isabel Hodgins ended things with David when her generosity was taken advantage of and she was left facing potential legal trouble.

Victoria has since been enjoying single life, even allowing herself an evening out with Ethan Anderson (Emile John), who has also been recently discarded by his own other half.

However, one couple in the eponymous Dales are happier than ever and decide to break some big news to their friend Victoria.

Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson) and Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) are delighted to reveal they are engaged during a chat with Victoria in the Hide.
