RHONY's Luann de Lesseps says show is 'better than ever' after Bethenney's exit as it's now not 'always about her'

REAL Housewives of New York star Luann de Lesseps won't be missing her former co-star Bethenny Frankel in the new season.

The 54-year-old reality star slammed the Skinnygirl brand founder for taking up too much screen time during her tenure on the show.

“We all get to show ourselves and have more time to talk about our own life and our own stories, and it’s not always about Bethenny [now],” Luann admitted during her cabaret show, of the forthcoming 12th season.

She told the audience: “So it’s just great, because the show is fabulous and I can’t wait for everybody to see the new season. I got to tell you, it’s better than ever!" reports Hollywood Life.

The star – who lost her countess title in 2016 – said that the rest of the cast, Tinsley Mortimer, Ramona Singer, Dorinda Medley, Sonja Morgan – and newcomer Leah McSweeney – have more breathing room since Frankel suddenly left in August.

Just days before filming started on the 12th season of RHONYC Frankle announced she was not going to return to focus on her personal life.

Ahead of her festive cabaret Christmas show, Countess and Friends at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa on December 7, De Lesseps said that sparks will still be flying in the new season.

“Obviously, there’s always drama," she told the audience, reports the website.

"When you have that many women together there’s bound to be drama,” she said, revealing that “there’s shifts in alliances” in season 12.

As for where she stands with certain housewives who she didn’t exactly see eye to eye with last season? Luann said things have completely changed, according to Hollywood Life

“I’m good with Dorinda, so you’re going to see that relationship blossom.
"And then, even with Ramona, you’re going to see a different relationship between Ramona and I, because we’ve always been not on the same page,” she teased.

“Ramona’s Ramona," she continued, adding: "She’s a tough one. So, you’re just going to see a lot more relationships, drama, fun, and you’re going to get to know the new housewife.” The show is slated to premiere early next year.
