Wendy Byrde (played by Laura Linney) has proven herself to be a rather terrifying and cutthroat force within the world of Ozark over her three seasons on the Netflix show. So much so, Wendy’s almost singlehandedly responsible for some of the most shocking deaths in the entire series – from Cade Langmore (Trevor Long) to brother Ben Davis (Tom Pelphrey). And Linney has been keeping the frights going off-screen too as she took to Instagram to unveil this year’s Halloween look she’d adopted.

Halloween was different for everyone this year as the coronavirus pandemic renders trick or treating and spooky parties almost impossible.

Nevertheless, it didn’t stop Ozark’s leading lady getting into the frightfully-festive mood.

Linney took to Instagram on October 31 to share with her 191k followers the dark and gloomy witch look she was going for this year.

“Boo!” Linney simply captioned the post and it didn’t take long for fans to share their thoughts on the outfit – including some familiar faces.

“You look great,” commented one of Linney’s followers in the replies section.

Her co-star in the Netflix drama Jessica Francis Dukes, who plays Agent Maya Miller, also weighed in: “Gaaaaahhhh!!!!! Omg!”

Actor Jeanne Tripplehorn also added her reaction to Linney’s ensemble with a series of black love heart and ghost emojis.

“Season 3 Wendy is scarier!” joked another of Linney’s fans.

The snap was also ‘liked’ by Tom Pelphrey, Linney’s onscreen brother who met a grisly end at the end of Ozark season three.

Linney will be bringing more scares and twists when she returns for the fourth and final season of Ozark next year.

Season four is already tipped to be its most explosive and, therefore, deadly ever – but will Wendy make it out alive?

Before that, however, Linney and a number of other big names, including The Big Bang Theory’s Laurie Metcalf have joined forces for an exciting new project.
