NCIS’ most recent spin-off is well underway with seven episodes so far, the CBS procedural drama has also proven to be a hit amongst fans who tune in every week. NCIS Hawaii star Vanessa Lachey dropped a major hint about the upcoming episodes in a heartfelt tribute to Hollywood legend LeVar Burton.

The actress shared a short video on her Instagram page of herself and LeVar captioned: “Living Legend @levar.burton!!! We just wrapped episode 12 that he directed!

She continued: “What an honor & a pleasure sharing this experience with him! Brow game strong! Shirt game strong! Life game strong!”

Other fans took to her comments to share their amazement at the collaboration, CJ Wess wrote: “How lucky you both are to get to work together!!”

While Sherri commented: “Congrats on having the opportunity to work with a great talent like @levar.burton!”

LeVar is best known for his role as Kinte Kunte in the dramatic 1977 miniseries titled Roots and based on slavery.

He also played Lt. Commander Geordi La Forge in the science fiction show Star Trek: The Next Generation from 1986 till 1994.

Big Bang Theory fans may even recognise LeVar from the hit sitcom where he portrayed himself for three episodes.

Alongside acting, he also has a knack for directing and is commonly gracing shows behind the scenes, this includes NCIS: New Orleans, Charmed and The Tiger Woods Story.

While Vannessa didn’t hint at what the episode would include, she did share LeVar directed the 13th episode and it was wrapped.

Viewers enjoy watching her character Jane Tennent and the different dynamics she has with her team.

Many stay tuned as the Hawaiian spin-off includes a trailblazing factor, as Jane is the franchise’s first woman lead and special agent in charge of NCIS Pearl Harbour.

When she first landed the role, Vannessa released a statement in May detailing her excitement: “Honored is an understatement! To join the NCIS franchise as the first female lead and to do it on the Beautiful Islands of Hawai’i… I still can’t believe it!”

Another viewer Sam also took to the comments to congratulate the actress: “Amazing I love him so awesome and I love NCIS Hawaii congratulations my friend.”

Recently, many fans were recently left upset due to an unexpected scheduling shake-up, which meant episode eight didn’t air during its Monday slot.

Although bosses haven’t shared why the show is being delayed, thankfully, it’s been confirmed Jane and the team will be returning to screens on the 29th.

In the most recent episode of NCIS Hawaii titled Rescuers, the team came out on top as they were able to successfully provide Tracy Moore, protective detail.

This came after her boyfriend, Dave Andrew’s murderer was released from prison on early parole.

Her home has also mysteriously been filled with pink teddy bears, music playing and bloodstains which weren’t there before she left.

It became clear to the team Foreman had been there and the team were able to act fast and ensure Tracy’s safety.

Fans will have to tune into the upcoming episode to find out what the team will be up against next.

NCIS: Hawaii continues Monday November 29 on CBS.
