Maisie Smith confirms she will return to EastEnders – and reveals when
Former EastEnders star Maisie Smith has confirmed that she is open to a return to the BBC soap, despite having left in 2022.
The actress found fame on the London based show at just six years old, playing the feisty Tiffany Butcher.
After leaving the show in 2014, she made a brief comeback in 2016 before returning on a more permanent basis in 2018.
During her most recent stint on the show, Tiffany had a rocky on and off relationship with Keegan Baker, before moving to Germany with him to stay with brother Liam.
Since her departure from the show, Maisie appeared on Strictly Come Dancing, where she came in second place.
She has continued to show off her dancing prowess in the Strictly Ballroom musical, but has confessed that she has not turned her back on Walford forever.
Speaking to OK! Magazine, the 21-year-old actress has revealed that she would always be open to a return to Albert Square.
‘You never leave EastEnders. I’ve got a family on there that will be there for the next 50 years. I’ll always have a place there.’
The star also revealed when viewers can expect to see her on screen as Tiffany again.
‘The next time someone gets married or dies, I’m sure I’ll be back.’
Away from work, Maisie is in a loving relationship with The Wanted singer Max George.
The couple met in 2020, while competing on Strictly Come Dancing, and announced their relationship last summer.
Maisie has recently moved from her home in Essex to Max’s pad in Manchester, where the pair now live together.
