MAFS UK fans SLAM couple as ‘fake’ and claim affair is ‘set up for the cameras | The Sun

MARRIED At First Sight fans were left fuming as Whitney and Matt's affair dominated the latest episode.

The duo – who were both matched with other partners in the E4 experiment – have seen sparks fly and even asked to remain on the series as a new couple.

The Married At First Sight judges have not yet determined whether PA Whitney and barber Matt can take a second stab at the process.

Matt's wife Gemma was seen in tears at the Commitment Ceremony when his intentions were fully exposed, while Whitney's ex Duka has given a hint as to her future on the series.

Yet many fans aren't buying Whitney and Matt's partnership full stop.

One took to Twitter to rage: "If they allow Whitney and Matt to stay it is pure fake TV and I'll be raging 🥲🥲🥲 I mean I know it’s staged but cmonnnnn #MAFS #MAFSUK."

A second put: "Matt comes across as arrogant, Whitney is so fake, they are a perfect match for each other but no way do they deserve to be allowed back into the experiment."

A third then insisted: "Nope – this is fake – Whitney and Matt win the Academy Award for Best Bullshitting for the Camera."

Another angrily argued: "The Whitney and Matt chat seems so fake to me."

One then wrote: "So I think this year's plants are Matt, Whitney, Duka and Gemma. Too fake."

"Seems the producers practically begged for these cos it’s just so fake."

Yesterday's episode concluded with the cast getting into a huge row over whether the cheaters should be given a "second chance".

Gemma and Duka unsurprisingly decided to leave in the penultimate commitment ceremony after it emerged Matt and Whitney had shared a bed together.

Relationship expert Mel Schilling then asked the couples to talk through the events of the past few weeks.
