"Gail Vella's murder is this force's highest profile investigation," we hear Ted tell the unit as Joanne, who is played by Kelly Macdonald, later states: "Whoever did it has got away with it."

Later, we see the new character Detective Constable Chloe Bishop, played by Shalom Brune-Franklin, take centre stage as she tells someone on the phone: "You have no idea what she's capable of," as the scene cuts to Joanne denying any involvement in the corruption.
Chloe appears to be helping Kate and Steve in unveiling who the mysterious character "H" is, who is part of team of senior officers who helped cover up a child sex-trafficking ring.
The new AC-12 recruit is then seen shouting she's being framed before Ted calmly questions: "When did we stop caring about honesty and integrity?"
The trailer ends with Chloe asking Steve: "Do you still believe there's a fourth man out there?" to which replies: "Man… or woman?"
