Kate Garraway missing from Good Morning Britain as ITV show marks 8 years

Charlotte Hawkins hosted today's anniversary edition of Good Morning Britain alongside Ben Shephard, while regular Friday co-host Kate Garraway was nowhere to be seen.

GMB marked its eight-year anniversary today (Friday 29th April), and no reason for popular presenter Kate's absence was given.

However, Charlotte seamlessly covered for Kate and tackled some big topics on the show.

Meanwhile, Kate recently enjoyed some much-needed downtime with her son Billy, 12, as they visited Legoland, Windsor for a fun half-term day out.

Kate shared a series of funny pictures from various rides she took with her youngest son, but she looked terrified in the snaps.

“Ssssh – don’t rain on my #easterparade ! #familytime #making memories #bestdayoutever #lovelegoland.”

Beth also cared for best-selling children's author Michael Rosen, 75, as he battled the virus.
