Good Morning Britain also featured an appearance from former British talkshow host Trisha Goddard, who paid tribute to Jerry Springer following news of his death yesterday.
Trisha said: “He was great fun. He was playing. When his producers used to go in an brief him, he used to have this Babe Ruth baseball bat that he used to swing around.
“Sometimes he would just come on the show and know the person’s name and what have you.”
She went on to say: “He called himself the ‘ringmaster’ and it was like a circus. You always used to wish you didn’t end up on one of his shows.” Adding: “He did have a naughty side.”
Trisha said Jerry’s death would hit the NBC family “hard” with the presenters part of a community on the American network.
