Justin Timberlake bashed by Britney Spears fans for 'supporting' ex in fight against dad after 'slamming her' in past

JUSTIN Timberlake was bashed by Britney Spears fans for “supporting” his ex in her fight against father Jamie Spears.

The 40-year-old stood up for Britney amid her conservatorship battle, which comes after fans accused him of “slamming her” in the past.

Following the 39-year-old’s appearance in court on Wednesday, Justin took to Twitter to show support for his ex.

He wrote: “After what we saw today, we should all be supporting Britney at this time.

“Regardless of our past, good and bad, and no matter how long ago it was… what’s happening to her is just not right.

“No woman should ever be restricted from making decisions about her own body.”

Justin continued: “No one should EVER be held against their will… or ever have to ask permission to access everything they’ve worked so hard for.”

The singer added that Britney has the support of him and wife Jessica Biel, concluding: “Jess and I send our love, and our absolute support to Britney during this time.

“We hope the courts, and her family make this right and let her live however she wants to live.”

While some fans found Justin’s message sincere, others took to the comments section to slam the singer.

One upset fan wrote: "F**k you, justin. Britney doesn't need your support. One more time: f**k you!"

Another added: "Took you this long to say the right thing? Waiters, bartenders, hotel staff, film staff, dancers, singers, & tour crew have horror stories about the way you treat people and think you’re above them.

"Maybe try rehabbing your own kindness. Britney’s got an army. You can sit down."

A third chimed in: "She doesnt need your support. Youre guilty too."

Another person commented: "As a cry me a river song and video and how you had promoted your solo career about this?"

An additional fan slammed Justin for not helping Janet Jackson after her wardrobe malfunction at the Super Bowl, writing: "Hey while you're at it, maybe you could apologize to Janet Jackson for getting her blacklisted for two decades."

Justin's support comes after Britney appeared in court for the first time regarding her conservatorship battle.

During the hearing, the single shared a number of bombshells including that her family sent her to a small rehab where they tried to "hurt" her and that she was "forced to take Lithium."

Following the release of the Framing Britney Spears doc, fans come down on Justin for how he spoke about his ex-girlfriend after their split.

Justin and Britney dated from 1998-2002.

Many believed Justin made Britney into the "villain" of their break-up, which soon led to her downward spiral including drug use accusations and hospitalizations.

After receiving backlash from fans, Justin apologized to both Britney and Janet for "contributing to the problem of misogyny."

"I understand that I fell short in these moments and in many others and benefitted from a system that condones misogyny and racism," he wrote.

"I specifically want to apologize to Britney Spears and Janet Jackson both individually, because I care for and respect these women and I know I failed," the singer added.
