James 'Arg' Argent is all smiles as he shows off his tiny roast dinner after 13 stone weight loss

FORMER Towie star James 'Arg' Argent tucked into a very small roast dinner after losing 13 stone.

The 34-year-old, who ballooned to nearly 27 stone during lockdown, revealed his incredible transformation in November.

The reality star had gastric surgery, an op which reduces the amount he can eat, back in April 2021.

The life-changing operation has saved his life and he now weighs just 14 stone.

Yesterday Arg enjoyed a "tiny" roast dinner at The Duke pub in Wanstead with his former Towie co-stars James 'Diags' Bennewith and Dan Edgar.

Diags took to Instagram to show off his pal's small portion of food – and it is in stark contrast to the dinners he's had before.

As Diags filmed Arg enjoying his small roast, he asked: "Who has got the kid's meal? This is new to me!"

He captioned the video: "Arg and his tiny dinners @real_arg."

James' weight loss journey was recently laid bare in a jaw-dropping new video of him of going for runs, taking on a punch bag and sparring with a personal trainer.

The promo, posted by Boxup Gyms, sees the star shirtless as he began his workout journey.

He said: "By Christmas but possibly even in the summer this is going to be shredded."

Gesturing to his sides, he added: This is going to be gone. The back fat is gone, the thighs are going to be skinny, my arms are going to be boom."

He was then shown running, jumping and throwing his arms about in the boxing ring before they revealed the transformation.

Last week he shared some incredible before and after shot of his weight loss journey.

He told his 821k followers: "9 months ago I dreamed of having THAT @adele moment & here it is 🙌🏼.

"After being 27 stone, depressed and having doctors telling me I was on “death row” I made the decision to have gastric sleeve surgery with @wearetransform which reduced the size of my stomach and limited how much I could eat.

"I’ve since lost a total of 13 stone and now weigh 14 stone which surpassed all expectations. I’ve never felt happier or healthier.

"I can honestly say that it was the best decision I've ever made. It spurred me on to be serious about my eating habits and exercise.

"Since my surgery, I’ve followed the advice from the team at Transform Hospital Group and stuck to a healthy diet with smaller portion sizes.

"I’ve also been training in the gym to make my body stronger."

His weight loss has given him the confidence to set some new fitness goals – and one is to swim the English Channel.

Speaking about getting the gastric sleeve that has helped him to lose weight, Arg said: "I reached the heaviest I’ve ever been in the height of the pandemic.

"Doctors said I was dicing with death because I’ve got bad asthma and was morbidly obese, which was the worst possible combination if I was to catch Covid.

“I could have been a goner, so I just knew I had to do something.”
