ITV I’m A Celeb’s Danielle Harold addresses feud rumours after shock jungle exit
Fresh from her elimination in the I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here jungle, Danielle Harold has downplayed rumours of a feud in camp after various disagreements were teased on screen.
The former EastEnders star, who is best known for playing Lola Pearce in the soap, became the fifth star to be eliminated from the jungle on Thursday evening, but just hours after her elimination, was quick to dismiss any rumours of tense clashes while in camp.
Speaking on Lorraine on Friday morning, Danielle opened up about her time on the show as she continued to reiterate that everyone on the show had got along, despite what the cameras may have had fans believe.
She said: "I bonded with everyone in my own way but Sam Thompson became my little brother in there.
"Even though he’s the same age as me he’s just like my little brother, we were winding each other up and we had the best time. I love him so much. When I came back to the hotel all the guys were there.
The 31 year old star even went on to suggest that everyone was so friendly, in fact, that they were going to start a WhatsApp group after the show to stay in touch.
The statement was certainly at odds with the scenes that had unfolded on screen over the past three weeks, with multiple disagreements having aired between Fred Sirieix, Josie Gibson, Nella Rose, Tony Bellew and Nigel Farage.
Immediately following her exit on Thursday evening, Danielle admitted to show hosts Ant and Dec to having been a spectator to several of the clashes as she admitted she’d sat back and enjoyed them.
However she went on to downplay any lingering drama, as she described having reunited with her fellow booted camp-mates, adding: "Nella, Fred, Frankie, it was so overwhelming to see them. I had the time of my life in there with the campmates.
“They are the best bunch of people I've ever had the pleasure of spending that much time with. I'm so grateful for them, we laughed the whole way through.”
After surviving 20 days in camp in total, Danielle admitted that one of the first things she had done after leaving camp was take a shower, before tucking into a meal from McDonalds!
Although her own time in the jungle was sadly cut short just days before a new king or queen of the jungle will be announced, the actress did confess she is rooting for one camp-mate in particular to take home the crown.
Revealing she was rooting for Sam to win, Danielle added: "He has literally become like a brother. I think we are both a bit crazy and a bit loud. When someone matches your energy like that, he just makes me laugh.”
“ I am so glad that this was my year. you know sometimes you're watching thinking 'I wouldn't want to be in there' but with them there was not one bad person in there, even Mr Farage."
