Inside Laura Hamilton's family home of 9yrs after selling up and moving out over marriage split

A PLACE In The Sun star Laura Hamilton is moving out of her family home after announcing she had split from her husband Alex Goward.

The TV presenter and property expert told fans she was selling the property in Surrey after living there for nine years with her family.

Laura, 39, announced this week that she and her husband Alex had split after 13 years together as she discussed "scary changes" in her life.

Before revealing her marriage breakdown, Laura posted a video to show how the couple had transformed the stunning property.

Now, the home is back on the market as the mother-of-two – who shares Rocco, eight, and Tahlia, six, with her ex – is looking to move into a new place.

Incredible images of the property show off the impressive landscaped garden around it – which includes a patio for outdoor dining and a large pool.

The property has an impressive private driveway entrance and is shielded from the surrounding properties by tall trees and well-kept shrubs.

A small pool house stands separately from the main home, perfect for entertaining guests with rattan furniture and a fire pit nearby.

Inside, the glamorous home has been transformed with a neutral palette of beige, grey and wood throughout to give a relaxed feel to the countryside property.

In the kitchen, there is a large central marble island surrounded by grey cupboards and a white double sink, as well as a large wooden dining table.

Wooden chairs and beige bar stools tie the room together, as well as chrome lightfixtures and personal touches of flowers and family photographs.

A large hallway space leads into a large living room area, which features a huge grey velvet sofa in one corner with a matching pouffe to kick back and relax.

The room is filled with natural light due to large windows overlooking the garden, showing off the book-shelf style statement wallpaper.

Upstairs are a number of bedrooms including a sprawling master suite – featuring its own walk-in wardrobe and en-suite bathroom.

The huge bedroom has space for its own sofa and coffee table – while a second bedroom in the converted attic houses a big, comfy chair.

Laura showed off how she and Alex had transformed the home on Instagram shortly before their split – showing the attic conversion and scaffolding.

This week, the presenter explained they had made "incredible memories" in the house, but wouldn't allow "fear" to stop her "growing".

She wrote on Instagram: "I wish I could say I look like this photo right now but I don’t because, since the start of the new year we have been packing up our home ready to move.

"Today we close the door and say goodbye to a home that we have loved and enjoyed for the last 9 years -the longest I have lived anywhere in my life.

"It was a home that we transformed but MORE importantly it was a home where we created some incredible memories that we will cherish forever.

"Change can be scary but you know what is scarier? Allowing fear to stop you from growing, evolving and progressing.

"When it feels scary to jump that’s exactly when you jump, otherwise you just end up staying in the same place your whole life, and that I can’t do."

Laura – who started working in property aged 19 – started presenting A Place In The Sun in 2011 and has since become a fan favourite.
