I’m A Celebrity viewers outraged as they claim Andy was ‘set up’ to lose challenge

I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! viewers were left fuming on Andy Whyment's behalf as they lashed out against him being "set up" in the challenge on Thursday night's episode.

Coronation Street's Andy Whyment, Myleene Klass and Georgia "Toff" Toffolo joined the show as late arrivals, but were having to stay in the back-to-basics Savannah Scrub as opposed to the main camp.

Toff soon earned her way out of the camp with a trial and it was then Andy and Myleene's turn to battle it out for a place in the main camp – but viewers were unhappy with the challenge they were given.

The pair were placed in chambers and buried up to their shoulders with corn. They then had to answer questions for points with the overall winner being granted a place in the main camp. Every correct answer left the celeb's opponent being covered in creepy crawlies – or, in one case, frogs.

Myleene was first up and guessed her first question correctly, naming Shakira as the singer of South Africa's Waka Waka world cup anthem.

But Andy didn't do so well when asked about a character on Byker Grove.

Myleene then won her second point, and went on to win overall, despite the fact she said the longest bone in the body is the 'fomer' instead of femur.

Viewers were not too happy, with one person sharing an up-close snap of Andy's tense face with the comment: "Andy when he realises it was a big fat set up and he was never gonna make it to main camp #ImACeleb."

A second acknowledged the unfairness as they wrote: "Well, that was a clear set up against Andy: #ImACeleb.

A third added: "This is a set up… poor Andy #ImACeleb."

"This is being set up so that Mylene could win. Justice for Andy. #ImACeleb," said a fourth.

Elsewhere it was revealed that several campmates had smuggled contraband into the camp, leaving Fatima Whitbread none too pleased.

Gillian McKeith, Paul Burrell, and Myleene Klass all fessed up, which left Fatima raging. "Guys, I don't agree with letting people off the hook!", she said, adding: "Rules are the rules. It's the principle!"

Gillian fired back with: "Send me away then!"

Fatima continued: "The rules are the rules, they've been broken, and it shouldn't go unpunished whether we like it or not! We're all in it together. It shouldn't go unpunished!"

The former record-breaking javelin thrower then walked away from camp before telling her campmates: "It's not about the individuals, it's about the rules being breached because I'm a principles person, and I want to be true to myself. Guys, I don't agree with it."

Fatima added in the Bush Telegraph: "Everyone knows the rules, if you break them, you pay the consequences!"

I'm A Celebrity… South Africa continues weeknight at 9pm on ITV and ITVX.
