Holly Willoughby says love should ‘last forever’ as Phillip Schofield slams ‘hideously public’ Katya Jones and Seann Walsh affair
The presenter took part in a debate on today’s This Morning and made her feelings very clear about the affair, which Phillip Schofield branded “hideously public” as he slammed their behaviour.
Holly, who has been married to Dan Baldwin since 2007, hit back at the suggestion from guest Louise Van Der Veldem that people should be allowed to cheat because desire doesn’t last forever.
She said: “But love lasts forever.”
The guest argued: “Why can’t you have love and fun?”
Holly replied: “Because you have both got to agree to that, you have to look at his girlfriend sitting at home.”
She was then quizzed about whether she ever had fantasy, but shut down the suggestion saying: “Fantasy is something that is not necessarily a reality because you have respect and love for your partner.”
Phillip added: "He has got a girlfriend at home and it's her birthday… well she thought it was ok for her to be there… in other relationships you could very well be sitting there on the sofa thinking, 'he'll be home a little bit later on and it will be great.'
"There is no question, you have the all-powerful, all-knowing professional, the vulnerable celebrity and it's passionate, it's steamy."
Meanwhile Vanessa Feltz, who was also taking part in the debate admitted she fell in love with James Jordan for four days when she was on the show in 2013 – but would never have cheated.
Discussing the situation, she said: "They were drinking and drinking to the point they would have known they would be disinhibited so they have to take responsibility for that.
"Having done Strictly in 2013… you know you're being followed, you're under such scrutiny. You have millions of viewers.
"For about three or four days I was headlong in love with him, how could you not be? And all that sexy dancing.
"I remember him saying to me, 'Just put your foo foo on my thigh,' and I thought nobody's said that to me for years! How fantastic. And just push you 'mm mm' up against my chest and I thought oh boy, is this my birthday?"
However she knew where to join the line, admitting she would never have done anything because she was in a "loving relationship".
She added: "I was aware they are paid to be nice to you and they do the same with everybody they dance with every series, so you're not supposed to fall for it and take it too seriously."
Seann and Katya hit headlines over the weekend when they seen kissing – despite both being in relationships.
They later issued grovelling apologies, saying it was a one off drunken mistake.
Yesterday Sean's girlfriend Rebecca Humphries dumped him as she released a statement about his behaviour.
