Going through miscarriage was the saddest and loneliest time of my life, reveals Jessie J

JESSIE J has been through her “saddest and loneliest” time, following her miscarriage.

But as she returned to the UK stage this week she revealed she is now happier than ever, and focusing on the positives, despite her ordeal in November.

Opening up in heartbreaking detail for the first time, she said on stage: “So I was pregnant but not any more.

“I am probably in the happiest place I have ever been, believe it or not. My perspective on life has changed completely.

“The day it happened a man came up to me in the street. I was by myself and crying. He said, ‘I don’t know you and I don’t know what is happening with you right now but I know you should share it with other people’.

“That is why I do what I do. So to anyone who has been through that, or near someone who has, I am so sorry. There is no other way to explain it than just the saddest, loneliest thing.”

Brit Jessie, who now lives in LA but is back in the UK, wants to use her pain to help others. She said at the intimate acoustic show at Lafayette in central London: “No one talks about it enough. What we talk about isn’t what really happens.

“I am grateful I was raised by two incredible people who taught me to find the blessing in the pain. I am grateful for the perspective I have. Every day we just have to live and live harder.”

On how one of her sisters flew to the States to support her through the miscarriage ordeal, Jessie added: “She was with me every day when it was happening.

"She flew out to LA and I was so high on painkillers. She dropped everything and was there.”

Jessie is now focused on getting back to full health and releasing her sixth album, after also suffering from vocal issues last year.

She said: “The album has been done for a year. I just need my throat, and myself and my body and my life, to fix up and look sharp.”

The record will feature new track Complicated which name-checks her Magic Mike actor ex Channing Tatum, and references her rollercoaster decade-long career including almost being dropped by her record label in 2014.

With all that life experience under her belt, this next album sounds like it will be her best yet.

Zac's unrecognisable

THE preened and pampered Zac Efron we are used to seeing is long gone in his new film role.

He looks almost unrecognisable in a new trailer for upcoming thriller Gold, playing a man who discovers a huge nugget of the precious metal then becomes paranoid while protecting it.

He ends up weather beaten and bleeding. The movie was filmed in Australia in 2020, where Zac, right as he usually looks, spent more than a year as a convenient escape from Covid regulations in his native US.

Though judging by the top photo, shooting this film can’t have been a barrel of laughs.

Ashley gives it what forty

ASHLEY Roberts looks fit at 40 in this figure-hugging cutaway dress, but soon her mum could have an equally sexy wardrobe.

The fashion-conscious Pussycat Dolls singer posted these shots of herself on Instagram after getting all dolled up.

Then she revealed she is planning an overhaul of her mum’s clothes, as a birthday treat.

Ashley said on Heart Breakfast: “My mom is going to be 70 this year, so I need to start planning what I’m going to do for her. That’s a big one. That’s a milestone. I’m going to surprise her.

“I saw an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians where KIM put all of these outfits together for her mum and I was like, ‘That’s a cute idea’.

“My mum likes fashion so I might put together a few outfits and give her a fun treasure chest.”

Anything like this dress and her mum will be the talk of the town.

Megan Fox

MY congratulations to Megan Fox, not for her recent engagement, but for a miraculous PR campaign which has helped make her one of the most talked-about people in showbiz again.

Her star power had waned in recent years but ever since she got together with rapper Machine Gun Kelly in 2020, she has been posing for photos like this and has been making all sorts of strange comments to get her name back in peoples mouths.

That includes last week’s odd claim that she and MGK drank each other’s blood after he proposed.

While a lot of people’s lives were on hold for two years because of multiple lockdowns, she has transformed herself.

Now she is a jet setter to rival Kim Kardashian, having flown to Milan for the weekend with her fiancé just for the city’s fashion week – where she posed for this snap.

What she will do next is anyone’s guess – heck, I don’t even know what she actually does now – but I bet she will make an absolute fortune doing it.

A1 rivals in bid to win Eur vote

WHILE just about every other nineties band is getting back together, the former heart-throbs of A1 have become rivals.

I can reveal that bandmates Ben Adams and Christian Ingebrigtsen are locked in an unlikely comeback battle . . . to represent Norway in the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest.

Christian is hoping to perform his song Wonder of the World at the competition in Turin, Italy, this May, while Ben has written a tune called Titans, which will be performed by rising Norwegian star Vilde.

They are battling it out on a telly show in Norway and the winning act is set to be crowned next month, which will see them represent the country at Eurovision.
In another blast from the past, noughties rock band The Rasmus are competing to try to represent Finland with the song Jezebel.

Their 2003 single, In The Shadows, was a hit throughout Europe and peaked at No3 in the UK charts.

I’m not the biggest Eurovision fan and the prospect of seeing former boyband members take to the stage once more does nothing to add to the event.

Daniel's new role

HARRY Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe has landed a surprising new role as comedy singer Weird Al Yankovic.

He is expected to show off his vocal chops in the biopic of the Grammy Award winner, which will be called Weird: The Weird Al Yankovic Story.

Weird Al is best known for his spoof songs including Like A Surgeon, based on Madonna's Like A Virgin and Amish Paradise, a parody of Gangsta’s Paradise by Coolio.

In a typically sunny statement about the casting, the comedian said: “When my last movie UHF came out in 1989, I made a solemn vow to my fans that I would release a major motion picture every 33 years, like clockwork.

“I’m very happy to say we’re on schedule. And I am absolutely thrilled that Daniel Radcliffe will be portraying me in the film.

“I have no doubt whatsoever that this is the role future generations will remember him for.”

Daniel has never struck me as a barrel of laughs and I’ll be very surprised if this one changes my opinion.

Kanya and Sean cut the rap

KANYE West has made up with fellow rapper Big Sean following their messy feud.

Kanye, who is now known as Ye, said in November that signing Sean to his record label G.O.O.D. Music was the “worst thing” he had ever done.

He added: “I already decided that when I die, on my tombstone it’s gonna say, ‘I deserve to be here because I signed Big Sean . . . ’”

Sean hit back weeks later, claiming Ye owed him £4.4million because of what his lawyer called one of “the worst” record contracts ever signed.

He said: “I love Kanye, bro. I love him for the opportunity he gave me, and all these things. But I thought what he said was some bitch ass s**t.”

But that must all have been settled now as the two looked pleased as punch to be hanging out at a studio in Los Angeles, along with French Montana, in the early hours of yesterday.

That can surely only mean one thing, that fans can expect to hear them both on Ye’s upcoming album Donda 2.
