Gogglebox star Tom Malone Jr reveals major filming perk viewers are unaware of
Gogglebox star Tom Malone Jr has opened up about what it's really like filming the hit Channel 4 show.
The northern lad, who appears alongside the Malone family on the fly-on-the-way series, has admitting to fans that producers give them perks each time they record an episode.
During an impromptu Q&A session on his official Instagram, Tom was asked "Do you actually get a free takeaway every-time u film an episode?"
Smiling, the professional dancer replied: "Yes. Without a doubt, one of the best perks of Gogglebox is the fact that every time we film, which is twice a week, the crew get us a takeaway of our choosing.
"It's literally one of the most amazing things about the show, honest to God, it's the best."
Not stopping there, Tom added: "The hardest thing is choosing what we're actually going to have to eat because my dad is super picky with food.
"Anything too far away from a pie or chips or sausage and mash isn't really his thing.

"So that's the hardest thing about it but honestly [it's] one of the best things about Gogglebox."
Another fan wanted to know how much the producers intervene in terms of here he and his family sit on the sofa.
However, while they may be on hand to provide tasty treats, it seems bosses are keen to keep the show as natural as possible.

Tom explained: "So going back to six and a half years ago to our first ever episode of Gogglebox, I think it was season four.
"We just sat in those positions, that's where we sat naturally.
"However, moving on from then, we were never allowed to change positions.
"And that's just because people simply don't like change."
Daily Star recently revealed how despite now living with his girlfriend Bryony, Tom doesn't think fans will ever see her on the sofa alongside him and his family.
Speaking in November last year, Tom said: "Because of contracts and stuff, unfortunately, you won't see my girlfriend on the show, but yeah we do forget we are filming."
Insisting they would love to be on the show together if bosses allowed them, Tom added in a now deleted Instagram live session: "We will be moving in together soon.
"I reckon because of contracts and stuff it won't be able to happen but you can always ask them."
