Dani Dyer will star opposite dad Danny in EastEnders tonight (June 15).

The Love Island star, 24, will play a taxi driver named Jeannette, who comes to the rescue of Queen Vic landlord Mick Carter.

Mick, played by Dani’s dad Danny, promises wife Linda (Kellie Bright) that he will be there for her when she attends her baby scan, but a series of obstacles throw a spanner in the works!

That is, until Jeanette arrives in her black cab, and offers to take him where he needs to go.

Jeanette, who is also pregnant, soon goes into labour and, in a reversal of roles, Mick is tasked with getting her to the hospital!

‘I’ve always been such a massive fan of the show,’ said Dani. ‘I watch it every night, so to be a part of it was such an amazing opportunity.

‘I was really excited – me and my dad really work well together. We do our podcast and that’s always such a laugh, so to be acting alongside him really was fun and made it a lot easier for me.

‘Filming was so much fun! I was so nervous as I haven’t done acting in a while! But they made me feel so relaxed and I absolutely loved the director he was brilliant and really gave me some good advice.’

The question is: will Mick be able to make to the hospital on time?

And will Linda be forced to attend her scan on her own?

Viewers will know that Linda is pregnant with Max Branning’s (Jake Wood) baby, and is worried that Mick will be unable to accept the child.

EastEnders airs these scenes tonight at 7.55pm on BBC One. Alternatively, this episode is now streaming on BBC iPlayer due to scheduling disruptions caused by Euro 2020.
