Fancy flat in townhouse owned by Sir Sean Connery is on sale for £1.6million

Fancy feeling like old-school James bond in a posh London flat?

If you also happen to have a spare £1.6million handy, you could be in with some luck.

A luxury apartment in a building previously owned by the late Sir Sean Connery, who passed away in October 2020 at the age of 90, is newly on the market.

Sean lived in the townhouse that is now up for sale, and owned another next door.

Strangely enough, another James Bond previously lived on the same street, Eaton Square, Belgravia.

Knight Frank agent Stuart Bailey said: ‘At the same time Sir Sean lived at number 6 Eaton Square, Roger Moore lived at number 22. By chance they lived really close to each other.’

And in Fleming’s books, James Bond lived in a house just around the corner on Ebury Street.

So if you’re a diehard Bond fan, this really is the place to be.

After Sir Sean departed from the townhouse, it was turned into a block of separate luxury apartments, one of which is now on sale for £1, 595,00.

Aside from its Bond links, the apartment itself is pretty lovely.

The property’s description says: ‘A very bright second floor apartment overlooking Eaton Square gardens.

‘This west-facing flat has been refurbished to a high standard.

‘There is a large west-facing reception room and a separate kitchen, as well as one double bedroom and a bathroom.

‘Eaton Square is located in the heart of Belgravia and is regarded as one of the best addresses in London.

‘The property is located 0.2 miles from Sloane Square underground station as well as the Kings Road, Victoria and Knightsbridge.’

There’s just one bedroom and one bathroom, so it’d be ideal for a bachelor like Bond, or a couple keen to live in one of the poshest parts of London.

If this apartment doesn’t take your fancy, there’s another property previously owned by Connery now on the market.

Sir Sean’s luxury £27 million French Riviera mansion in Nice is also up for sale by Knight Frank.

The stunning home is still referred to as ‘Sean’s place’ by locals, after he spent most of his time there in the 80s and 90s.

That five-bedroom villa comes with indoor and outdoor pools as well as a 5,000 square metre garden.
