Dick, 61, and Angel, 42 have been living at the Chateau de la Motte-Husson for almost 6 years now, having moved from the UK to France in 2015. Since then, viewers of Escape to the Chateau have seen the pair renovate the property in the Martigne-sur-Mayenne region of the European country and there is little fans of the Channel 4 programme don’t know about the couple’s home. However, in a recent tour of the establishment, it seems the mother-of-two accidentally revealed a secret room within the castle that Dick uses for working needs.
Back in December, the pair posted a video on their website called The Chateau, where they inform their legion of fans of what they get up to when not filming the renovation show.
The post in question saw the husband and wife showcasing their homeware collection and what inspired the designs.
However, Dick managed to take a break from letting viewers into his home and took himself off to a secret recording studio the pair have had built in their home.
In the video, the father-of-four is startled to see his wife carrying around a camera and walking into the room he was working in.
“My husbands in here and it’s very, very hot and you’re off into the booth, aren’t you Mr Strawbridge,” Angel is heard saying.
Clearly having no idea his spouse was going to walk in, Dick asks his wife who she is talking to whilst she is carrying around the camera.
“It’s everyone,” Angel tells him, to which the father-of-our replies: “Oh, hello. You’re just coming in and pointing a camera at me.
“I’m about to get in here and be busy,” the castle owner tells his legion of fans, with Angel giving them a sneak peek inside the secret room.
“Sorry, do you want me to close the door?” the mother-of-two asks her other half, leaving him to get on with his project.

“I’ll be quiet, although I don’t need to because you’ve got a recording booth,” Angel is heard saying as she wanders off.
However, it’s not just the couple’s website where fans can keep up-to-date with their day-to-day lives at the chateau.
The pair also regularly post on their social media platforms, with them putting up a picture of themselves on Instagram earlier this week.
In the midst of some spring flowers, the husband and wife are seen looking admirably at one another.

Captioning the shot, they wrote in view of their 256,000 followers: “Today is officially the first day of spring in the UK and France.
“And to celebrate, we’re looking back at all the wonderful things that grow in the grounds of The Chateau throughout the spring and summer months, along with all sunshine and blooms have to look forward to this year.”
In response to the post, one of their fans shared: “I’m so in love with your chateau and the life you have together is amazing!
“I keep trying to convince my husband to let us do similar but can’t get him to budge! The closest I get is to watch Escape to the Chateau over and over!”
Another added: “Fabulous couple and such a magical place,” with a third writing: “I love this couple. Forget the chateau. I could just watch these all day long!”
Discussing their relationships and some of the arguments they have, Angel said: “You’ve got to be passionate and we are both madly in love so there’s no point getting hung up on silly little details.
“Age is but a number, and Dick’s always had a really wonderful energy and he’s a doer,” the mother-of-two explained via MailOnline.
It is thought the programme will return at some pint later this year.
Escape to the Chateau is available to watch on All4.
