During Friday night’s instalment of Emmerdale, an excited Kyle Winchester (played by Huey Quinn) and Isaac Dingle (Bobby Dunsmuir) opened two Christmas presents sent by a mystery person. When visiting his dad, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) in prison, the bad boy led Moira Barton (Natalie J Robb) and his son to believe he had sent the gifts. However, fans weren’t buying it as the mechanic gave a suspicious look when being told about the Christmas presents.

“Hey, mate, how’s it going?” Cain asked Kyle as his son replied: “I love my car.”

“Right,” Cain replied looking confused.

Moira chipped in: “Hi, handsome, so we got a surprise delivery today, didn’t we?”

“Do you know anything about that?” she quizzed her husband.

Cain simply replied: “It depends on what it is.”

“I wanted to bring it in,” Kyle explained as his mum added: “I told you, you can play with it when we get home.”

The mechanic looked baffled as Moira probed: “Oh, so it wasn’t from you.”

As Kyle let slip what the gift was, Cain said: “It arrived then. I didn’t want to say until I was sure.”

“So you sent it?” Moira asked suspiciously as Cain hit back: “Of course.”

“I can’t believe you did that,” Moira beamed. “And I let him and Isaac open them, I hope you don’t mind. Isaac loved the garage by the way.”

“I knew he would,” Cain unconvincingly replied.

At the start of the episode, Cain also received a letter from a mystery person.

However, the Dingle favourite ripped up the letter before even reading it.

Taking to social media to share their thoughts on the upcoming storyline, many fans believe it was Caleb who sent the mystery gifts, not Cain.

They also suggested that it was Caleb who wrote the letter to the mechanic.

Amie penned: “So the secret brother has sent those presents then…. #emmerdale.”

Ryan Glendenning wrote: “I reckon Caleb delivered the presents if it wasn’t Cain #Emmerdale.”

While Westie added: “I bet Caleb was the one who the sent presents to Kyle and Moses.”

Viewers also think Cain was on the phone to his brother in prison, with Donna theorising: “Cain was talking to his long lost brother, Caleb. #Emmerdale.”

Shaky commented: “Cain on the phone to Caleb… #Emmerdale.”

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7pm on ITV.
