Emmerdale's Chloe Harris to be tormented by her evil dad hints Jessie Elland

UPON her arrival in the Dales, Chloe Harris perhaps thought she'd be somewhat free of her father's grasp.

However, Emmerdale star Jessie Elland has hinted there could be a nasty surprise in store for her character.

With her horrifying showdown and shocking stalker ordeal with Noah Dingle still fresh in their minds, ITV viewers seemed to have forgotten Chloe Harris has been living in fear of her father.

For months, the latter has been reputed for his controlling and dangerous criminal behaviour, instilling fear in his daughter to the point where she believed he would go after Noah for their relationship.

While he has cast a shadow over Chloe's recent life, Mr Harris has yet to appear in the titular village and his absence has allowed her to roam free almost without a care.

But memories of her traumatic home life have surged back to the forefront of her mind when Chloe found out Noah has been secretly keeping tabs on her for weeks.

Just as she's about to face living in proximity to her tormentor, things could get even tougher for the David's Shop assistant.

Actress Jessie Elland told Metro that the door is left open for her possessive father to join her – and she's already up to the challenge.

"I think it’s so amazing that a character that has been off-screen has had such an influence in a character on-screen, if that makes sense", she said.

"There’s so much stuff that could happen if we were to see him, it’s very exciting."

As the iconic soap's 50th anniversary is fast approaching, Chloe's father could be expected to make an appearance.

But before his potential arrival can be confirmed, Chloe is left reeling from the shock of Noah's vile campaign, seething to see history repeat itself.

Jessie reminded: "Her dad had her followed and watched. She told Noah about that and how that affected her, so there was a lot for her to take in and deal with. And process."

"I had that in mind, and how this affected her and Noah’s relationship, and she thought they were friends."

Noah and Chloe were once romantically involved until she spent the night with fellow villager Jacob Gallagher.

Things have since been going downhill for the pair.

Yet after witnessing him planning to rape Amelia Spencer, Chloe believed Noah had changed for the better when he continuously displayed gestures of kindness towards her.

She soon came to regret her decision to trust him and was narrowly saved by Noah's mother Charity.
