EastEnders fans were shocked when Sharon fled to Australia to stay with pal Michelle after Phil dropped the pub bombshell on her.

Sharon had been going through a tough time in the wake of her son Dennis’s death.

The depressed mum had also handed her baby over to it’s father Keanu’s mum Karen as she struggled to cope with her grief.

When Sharon announced she was leaving for Australia, Phil was so desperate for her to stay that he revealed he was “buying the Vic” for her and that it’d be a “fresh start”.

But Sharon refused to let him replace Dennis with a pub and headed for the door.

Next week’s episodes of EastEnders will see Sharon return to the Square and tell linda that she’s planning on giving things another go with Phil.

Linda then gives her blessing to Sharon and Phil and agrees to them buying the pub together.

However, Sharon finds herself haunted by reminders of Dennis back on the Square and starts to question her decision to give up baby Kayden.

Later, Sharon drops off some baby items at the Taylors and Karen asks her to babysit Kayden while she gets ready for her leaving party.

When Karen finds Sharon asleep with Kayden, she reminds her that it’s not too late to change her mind.

As Sharon talks about her future with Phil later, she continues to feel torn about Kayden.

What will she decide?

And could it affect her decision to be landlady of the Queen Vic with Phil?

Fans are desperate for Phil and Sharon to take over the pub after owners Mick and Linda decided selling it was the best thing for Linda’s alcoholism.

Sharon grew up in the pub in the 80s when her parents – Dirty Den and Angie – were the owners.

She then ran the pub with her former husband – and Phil’s brother – Grant.
