Corrie prison van crash horror leaves Aadi for dead

Coronation Street fans had their hearts in their mouths as the first episode of a major week of horror saw a terrifying crash as a prison van ploughed into the back of the Alahan family’s car.

Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) was taking kids Asha (Tanisha Gorey) and Aadi (Adam Hussain) on a last minute break but any chance of a harmonious trip was ruined by stormy circumstances – both in the bickering between the twins and the terrential rain pouring down.

With Dev trying to keep things calm between the teens, the car slid on a wet patch and Dev’s tyre burst, forcing him into the elements to change it.

It was a no go so it was onto the blower to Kevin Webster (Michael le Vell) and his breakdown service.

Meanwhile, on the same road, as it would happen, drug baron Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor) was en route to an escape plan.

Being transported via prison van, Harvey bade his time after deliberately breaking his hand to get transported to hospital.

With one of the guards working for Harvey, the driver had a knife pulled on him.

The van veered across the road haphazardly and, unfortunately for the Alahans, it smashed straight into the back of their car before flying into the air and crashing across the road.

Dev will be left with a dilemma as he comes round – which of his children is at most need of saving?

With him carrying Asha to safety, the car will erupt into flames.

Is Aadi set to die?
