Coronation Street spoilers: Abi Franklin relapse fears as she steals thousands from Kevin Webster

KEVIN Webster fears that Abi Franklin has relapsed as she steals thousands of pounds from their joint account.

Abi told Kevin she never loved him and fled from Weatherfield following the result of the court trial, which saw her son Seb’s killer Corey escape justice.

Next week, Nina distributes homemade leaflets exposing Corey but is fuming when she sees that he has been named in the opening line-up for County.

Nina vows to name and shame him and takes to social media labelling him a murderer.

Later in the week, Nina is gutted when Daniel refuses to run a story exposing Corey.

When Kevin shows her Corey’s post match press conference, she announces she’s going to kill him.

Later, Nina drives past Seb’s memorial garden and spots Corey in there laughing on his phone, but will she pull over?

Later in the week, the Gazette is full of images of Corey scoring a goal in his first match and Nina tells Roy she’s not going to dwell on the past.

Meanwhile, Kevin worries about Abi following her disappearance and leaves a number of messages begging her to get in touch.

He is shocked when he gets a notification informing him that £5,000 has been withdrawn from their joint account.

Kevin visits the Dog & Gun with a photo of Abi, asking the regulars if she’s been in.

When he stumbles into Seb’s dad Tez, he breaks the news of Seb’s murder and explains he’s worried that Abi has relapsed.

Tez promises he hasn’t seen her but later in the week, Kevin is unable to shake his doubts about Tez and decides to track him down.

Spotting Tez doing a drug deal, Kevin snaps a photo on his phone, before ordering Tez to tell him where Abi is or he’ll send the photo to his probation officer.

Could Kevin end up in grave danger?

Asked how his character felt about Corey escaping justice, Mike Le Vell – who plays Kevin – revealed: “He was shocked and angry, he cared about Seb too and he was angry for Abi and Nina that they did not see justice done but he has a very different way of dealing with things to Abi and he wanted them to work through the feelings together.”

Talking about whether he’d forgive Abi for disappearing: “Kevin would absolutely forgive her, he knows what she has done and why she ran away, he just wants her home safe so they can try and rebuild what they have. He loves the family feeling they have and loves what it gives Jack and he would be there with open arms if she returned.

“His search for her is not to get retribution, it is to rescue her and bring her home and help her with how she is feeling and to talk sense into her, to make her see what sort of life she could have. Yes she has lost Seb, but there is a life here for her.”
