Daniel Osbourne (played by Rob Mallard) has been getting closer to Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) in recent weeks as their romance has begun to blossom in Coronation Street. However, the early stages of their relationship haven’t been easy, as Daniel was recently accused of being a paedophile after Max Turner (Paddy Bever) claimed the teacher had slept with Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby). According to official ITV soap spoilers, Daisy will publicly support Daniel in hitting back at the claims. However, could Daniel end up betraying her as he moves on with a new love interest?

In upcoming scenes on Coronation Street, David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) and Max meet with the Deputy Headteacher about the horrifying false accusations he made about Daniel.

The Deputy Head confirms they’ll reach a decision regarding Max’s future at the school by the end of the day.

Meanwhile, Daisy urges Daniel to try and persuade Mrs Crawshaw into giving Max another chance.

When the afternoon has passed Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) takes a call from the school about Max’s fate.

The youngster is admitted back to school, but it seems he still holds a grudge against Daniel.

Later on, when Daisy takes a call from football star Ashley, Daniel masks his jealousy.

Daniel sets up his laptop ready for the carol concert, but while he chats to Daisy, Max tampers with it.

However, when Daisy reveals that it was Daniel who had him reinstated at school, Max is horrified and swiftly tries to rescue the laptop.

Seeing Daniel floundering, Daisy steps in and, while grabbing the microphone, tells the crowd that Daniel is the most decent and kind man she’s ever met.

Daisy’s kind public declaration leaves Daniel feeling genuinely touched.

Later on, Sarah Barlow (Tina O’Brien) invites newcomer Lydia (Rebecca Ryan) over to help her bake some cakes for the school charity.

When Sarah mentions Adam Barlow (Samuel Robertson), Lydia’s quick to change the subject.

Lydia’s intrigued when she learns that Daniel is Adam’s uncle.

Meanwhile, Ken Barlow (William Roache) urges Daniel to tell Daisy how he feels.

However, when Daniel invites her for a drink, Daisy turns him down, explaining that Ashley’s taking her to a celebrity party.

But, later when the party’s in full swing, it’s evident Daisy’s not enjoying herself and she soon makes her excuses and leaves.

Back on the street, Adam and Daniel join Sarah and Lydia for a drink.

Daniel’s impressed when he clocks the book that Lydia’s reading and they instantly hit it off.

As Daisy buzzes Daniel’s intercom, declaring she’s been an idiot and thinks the world of him, it is Ken who answers and sends Daisy off to find Daniel.

Will Daisy make it to Daniel in time to confess her true feelings for him?

She may be too late if Daniel’s already begun flirting with newcomer Lydia.

Daisy will likely be left heartbroken this Christmas if she stumbles in to find Daniel embroiled in a new romance with another woman.

Will Daniel really move on from Daisy? Viewers will have to tune in to find out their fate.

Coronation Street continues Wednesday at 7:30pm on ITV.
