Catherine Tyldesley says she would ‘absolutely’ return to Coronation Street
Former Coronation Street actress Catherine Tyldesley has admitted she would definitely make a return to the cobbles.
The 37-year-old star played the role of Eve Price from 2011 until 2018 on the ITV show, but it seems the door may have been left open for her.
During an appearance on Channel 4's Steph's Packed Lunch this week, the mum-of-one opened up about the idea of heading back to Weatherfield.
Host Steph McGovern referenced the soap's recent 60th anniversary and asked Catherine if she has any plans to revive barmaid Eve.
She replied: "I've been a fan since I was a little girl, of course.
"At some point, you know, I'm really enjoying doing different projects and touch wood I'm really busy at the moment.
"But Corrie is so close to my heart, if the opportunity came up in the future, absolutely," Catherine added.
Luckily for the pretty blonde, ITV bosses didn't kill Eve off as she simply decided to leave Weatherfield for a clean break after her partner Aidan Connor (played by Shayne Ward) took his own life.

In another recent TV interview, Catherine told Morning Live presenters Gethin Jones and former Coronation Street star Kym Marsh that she does miss the soap.
"I am sure Kym will say the same, it's like a second home for us because we’ve both been there for such a long time," she explained.
"I'll always miss it and it will always be a second home.
"It's just a wonderful place and wonderful people to work with… It's brilliant… Hopefully one day I might revisit the cobbles…"
Since leaving the soap, Catherine has starred in BBC sitcom Scarborough playing Karen Norris, and also competed in the 2019 series of Strictly Come Dancing.
The beauty also toured with the dancing show but was forced to finish early after she picked up an injury.
